Today's Wednesday Word of Encouragement is from Brooke Stultz, Office Manager.

"While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who he called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of me.'" - Matthew 4:18-19

Just as it states here in scripture, we are called to be fishers of Jesus or shepherds to others. This is not based on our worthiness to do so, but purely based on Jesus' grace for each of our lives.

πŸ™ Prayer Point | Coming Home

Leaving prison is not the end of the journey β€” it's the beginning of one of the hardest chapters a person can face. Jobs to find. Trust to rebuild. A new life to construct from the ground up.

Our Transition to Work graduates have spent 18–24 months in pre-release courses learning life skills, decision-making, and employment skills. They are doing the hard work. Now they need our prayers.

Pray for open doors. Pray for employers willing to take a chance. Pray for strong, godly community around them. Pray that everything they've learned takes root for a lifetime of change.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." β€” Jeremiah 29:11

What a Wednesday! πŸ™Œ

This week, more than a dozen formerly incarcerated individuals came out to the Restoration Center for a tour and a real conversation about what programming can do for their community. We are still feeling inspired by their visit!

These are people who have lived experience, hard-won wisdom, and a deep investment in seeing their community thrive. Watching them walk through the space, ask questions, and speak up about what they need was a reminder of exactly why this work matters.

This is what community looks like. This is what restoration looks like.

We're so grateful to everyone who came out and made their voice heard. The work doesn't stop here. It starts here. πŸ’›

Today's Wednesday Word of Encouragement is from Mark Hogsed, Executive Director.

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. - II Timothy 1:7

So often, we are tempted to operate our of fear, even when we have a personal relationship with the God of the Universe. While God never promised an easy life, he did promise that he is with us always. He is with us when we face a difficult diagnosis, or uncertainty with our career, or when we are dealing with a wayward child. He is with us. We have no reason to fear. He has actually given us the power to live victoriously in each situation, even when it doesn’t make sense to us.

πŸ™ Prayer Point | The Forgotten Ones

When someone goes to prison, they aren't the only ones who suffer. A mother loses sleep. A child grows up without a parent. A spouse carries the weight of the household alone.

The families of the incarcerated are often overlooked, but God sees them.

Today, pray for the loved ones left behind. Pray for provision for families under financial strain. Pray for children to be surrounded by caring adults and stable community. Pray for healing in relationships that incarceration has fractured. And pray for reconciliation; that the Gospel would restore what sin has broken, on both sides of the wall.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." β€” Psalm 147:3
