The Church Is the First Line of Defense.

From our neighborhoods to the ends of the earth, we have been given a mission: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make His name known.

The Church isn't called to sit on the sidelines. We are called to go. We are called to proclaim. We are called to build the Kingdom of God here on earth.

In Mark 12:35–37, Jesus reminds us who He is—and when we truly recognize who Jesus is, it changes how we live, what we proclaim, and where we go.

The question isn't whether the Gospel needs to be shared.
The question is: Will we be the ones who share it?

🌎 From where we are to the ends of the earth.
✝️ For the glory of Jesus.
🔥 For the building of His Kingdom.

What does it take to go the distance in your faith? This Sunday, Pastor Virgil walked us through Mark 12:28-34, where a scribe asks Jesus the most important question of all: which commandment is the greatest? Jesus answered with clarity and love — love God with everything you have, and love your neighbor as yourself. Two commandments that sum up the entire law.

When the fog rolls in and life knocks you off course, these anchors hold. Love God vertically with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love others horizontally the way Christ loved you. That is how we keep running the race.

Are you plugged in? Or are you sitting next to the charging cable without connecting? God has given each of us gifts meant to be used for His glory. Do not stop short of the finish line. You may be closer to the shore than you think.

What do you believe about the resurrection -- and why does it matter? This Sunday, we explored Mark 12:18-27, where Jesus confronts the Sadducees who denied the resurrection entirely. Their problem, Jesus said, was simple: they knew neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the anchor of our faith. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 15, if Christ has not been raised, our faith is empty. But he was raised -- and because he lives, we have confident hope for eternity.

Do not let pretense or personal preference keep you from experiencing the presence of a living God. He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Come ready to worship, come ready to receive, and come expecting the rain to fall.
