Church is not a place for perfect people.

It is a place for imperfect people who need help from the Perfect God.”

The church is not a gathering of people who have already achieved perfection—it is a place of grace, healing, growth, and transformation. Every believer comes with weaknesses, struggles, and needs, but we come because we recognize that only God is perfect and only He can change our hearts and guide our lives.

God invites us to come just as we are, not after we fix ourselves. Through worship, prayer, fellowship, and the preaching of His Word, the church becomes a place where imperfect people are strengthened, encouraged, corrected, and renewed by the Perfect God.

When we attend church, we are reminded that we are not alone in our journey. Instead, we grow together as a family of faith, depending daily on God’s mercy, wisdom, and power. The church is not for showing how strong we are—it is for admitting how much we need the Lord.

Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Matthew 9:12
“But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.”

A bad mood is a passing feeling, not a permission slip to hurt others. God calls us to guard our tongues, because harsh words can wound deeply and leave scars that last long after the mood has passed. Choosing kindness, even when you feel low, honors God and protects the hearts of those around you.

“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt.” (Colossians 4:6)

“Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.” (Proverbs 21:23)

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up.” (Ephesians 4:29)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
When I am in a bad mood, help me not to be mean.
Teach me to guard my tongue, to speak with kindness, and to let Your love be seen in my words. Heal every heart that has been hurt by harsh speech, and fill me with Your peace and grace.
Amen.🙏

The tongue has no bone, but it's powerful enough to heal or hurt - choose words that uplift and inspire.

There was no question of naughty or nice.
God didn’t have to check a list twice.

He knew this world was broken. He knew hearts were hurting.
And still—despite it, or because of it—
He gave us the greatest gift the world has ever known.

Wrapped in swaddling clothes, laid in a manger.
Destined not for under a tree…
but placed on one.

This is Christmas.

Grace didn’t come because we were good.
Grace came because we needed a Savior.
