Wednesday, November 9th the faith formation students spent 50 minutes of Adoration in honor of 50th anniversary of the Diocese of Charlotte. Each grade level, from kindergarten/1st grade to our 5th graders, spent 10 minutes in Adoration of our Lord as we sang praises and shared prayers for our Diocese.

Another amazing day on pilgrimage. Today started for me with an early morning walk to the church of Santa Maria della Grazie, (Our Lady of Grace). The church where St. (Padre) Pio served in ministry for 52 years, where I offered prayers for Holy Family Parish at the outside altar. Next stop Cattedrale di Santa Maria degli Angeli, San Matteo e San Gregorio VII, the place where the tombs of Sts. Matthew and Gregory. We celebrated Mass in the Crypt of St. Matthew. The next stop was where we are staying for the night. I had time for a hike by a local Benedictine Abby which is by a aqua duct. I was able to pray for all your intentions in my favorite environment... nature.

It is time to say good night. It has been a busy day here in Italy. Up early to leave Rome and on to the next stop on our pilgrimage, Assisi. Assisi is the place Saints Francis and Clare called home. I sent time in prayer at both churches and stood before both saints tombs. We celebrated Mass in a chapel at the Basilica of St. Francis, which I offered for all of you.
