SUNDAY’S TOPIC - A Year of Bread & Roses
6/14/26, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM (online and in-person) + Annual Congregational Meeting following

We spent our year finding wisdom from stories of bread and roses. Finding sustenance, courage, beauty and joy from stories new and old. What from these do we take with us into our tomorrows? Let us carry the sustenance of our bread and the beauty of our roses with us.

Worship Leader: Rev. Kayla
Worship Associate: Geraldine Zurek

Question for Wondering:
What bread and roses have served us well this year, that we want to take into our tomorrows?

Don’t forget to join us at our Wonder-filled Coffee Hour after the service!

Our 10:30 AM Worship Service is offered both in person and online.

Sunday FORUM: The Story of Ruth with Rabbi Andrew Ettin
5/24/26, 9:00 - 10:15 AM (PLEASE NOTE EARLIER TIME)

The Book of Ruth unfolds “in the days when the judges ruled,” a turbulent period marked by famine and instability. Naomi, her husband Elimelech, and their two sons leave Bethlehem for Moab in search of food. Naomi, who loses her husband and sons while living in Moab decides to return home to Bethlehem. Her Moabite daughter‑in‑law Ruth refuses to leave her, pledging loyalty with the words, “Where you go, I will go.” To survive, Ruth gleans leftover grain in the fields of Boaz, a relative of Ruth’s husband who shows her protection and kindness. Naomi guides Ruth in seeking Boaz as a kinsman‑redeemer, and he honorably takes on this role, marries Ruth restoring their family’s future.

Sunday FORUM: Two Years of Listening, Learning, and Leading: The Work of the Forsyth IAF Education Research Action Team with Shirley Simpson
5/17/26, 9:00 - 10:15 AM PLEASE NOTE CHANGE TO EARLIER TIME

Over the past two years, the Forsyth IAF Education Research Action Team has been deeply engaged in listening to families, educators, and community members across Forsyth County to understand their experiences with public education. Through hundreds of conversations and small‑group meetings, the team identified consistent concerns around services for exceptional children and the need for stronger school counseling and student support. In response, they have developed concrete proposals aimed at strengthening EC services and expanding the capacity of school counselors to meet student needs.

This important work will be presented to community leaders at the Forsyth IAF Founding Assembly on June 14, where our county will come together to support meaningful, community‑driven improvements in public education.

Our weekly Forum discussion group, offered both in person and online, is held every Sunday as part of our Adult Religious Education program. The topics vary every week. Visitors and guests are welcome.
