God has big plans for your life and the devil is a liar that will use those lies to stop you. He does not want you to go forward or trust God’s blueprint for you. He uses the chains of fear and doubt to stop you from advancing. He thinks that if he can convince you of his lies, he wins. Shake off those chains of fear and doubt! The Bible reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has a miraculous plan for your life. Don’t believe the lies. Receive the freedom God has for you.

Sometimes we limit God to only the things we can accomplish with our own abilities, when God often desires to use us beyond our own strengths. Many of us learn to do ministry still wearing the chains of bitterness, anger, addiction, etc. — not walking in the full freedom of Christ. We'll often hold back if something seems too extreme, radical or fanatic. Some of us limit God by keeping our faith to ourselves or making it just about us. Many of us want to follow Christ, but aren't willing to make the sacrifices it often requires. It's time to break down the walls and stop limiting what God wants to do in and through our lives.

You might say you started your walk with the Lord with such optimism and all of a sudden you are fighting wars within and wars without. You know the battle is fierce and in and of yourself you have no power to get through your situation. The enemy will roar in your ear with the lie that your circumstance is greater than your God. This message encourages us that if Christ is in us we will never be overpowered by the voice or strategy of the devil. God will take you through before He takes you out. He will give you supernatural strength and your testimony will be Jesus took me through. Never give up because God is on your side!

There is a life the devil can't touch and that is the life of Jesus Christ in us. The enemy will come to us and attack us in our confidence and communion with God. He will do whatever it takes to plant the lie in our mind that if God really loved us we wouldn’t be going through the trials and situations that we as Christians find ourselves in. But God will come into our situation when the devil has gone too far. God will stand between the devil and us and say this far and no farther. He will always raise up a standard for His People.

God is not the one who makes our lives a mess. We have a choice.

Deuteronomy 30:19 says,

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

To say we don’t have a choice is another way of saying we aren’t willing to take personal responsibility for our situations. When we believe we’re not responsible, it invalidates the Word of God. The Word tells us to make a choice between life and death, so we do have a choice. God even helped us out by telling us which one to choose: He said to choose life.
The slickest deception Satan has ever put across, primarily through the church, is to get people to embrace his work as the work of God. In my estimation, this is the worst doctrine in the body of Christ. If you really believe God controls everything, why do anything? Why pray? Why study the Word? Why resist? Just eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow you die, and whatever God wills will happen.
However, James 4:7 says,

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Notice that there are things from God that we submit to and things from the devil that we resist. God does not control everything.

Religion has played into the victim mentality because it’s the easiest way to explain away failure. The church has not been effective in helping people overcome things like sickness and financial problems, so they fall into the sacred cow belief that God is allowing this for a reason. God isn’t allowing the bad things in your life. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of every believer, and He is waiting on you to resist the devil and appropriate what He has already provided through Jesus.

The power that is now working in believers is the same power that worked in Christ to raise Him from the dead. Everything we have as believers in Christ comes from our union with Him. Therefore, what is true of Him is true of us too. We have come to share in Christ's throne, to partake in the authority that the throne represents, and to exercise divine power and dominion. There is no place in the New Testament that tells us to ask God to do something about the devil. Rather, we, (the church) are told to do something about the devil. This is because we have been given delegated authority over the works of the enemy. God desires that the church be enlightened to this, and walk in victory.
