Last week at our Kids and Tweens Kick Off families filled bags to place in our blessing box!
We added shelf stable snacks and toiletries. We invite everyone to take part in keeping our Blessing Box full so that our neighbors have easy access to items they need!

Please join us for a small group Connections hike on Saturday, September 12th at the Basin Creek Trail at Doughton Park. The trailhead is situated at the bottom of the park on Longbottom Road near Stone Mountain State Park The hike offers a scenic walk along Basin Creek which is one of the most pristine streams in the mountains of northwest North Carolina. You will also view some history of the early settlement of the area including an old homestead that dates back to the early 1900’s. We will be doing an out and back hike and the hike is 5 miles total. The trail is rated as easy/moderate with a gradual incline.. If you would like to know more about the park, you can browse their website at https://www.blueridgeparkway.org/poi/doughton-park/. Pastor Susan’s Campfire Collective group will be joining us so this is a great opportunity to meet and welcome some new hikers! Bring snacks/lunch to enjoy along the stream!

We will plan to meet this time at 8:30 am in the church parking for the hour and 20 minute trip to the trailhead. If you have questions, contact Mark Bee at [email protected] or 336-608-1190. All are invited!!
