JUST THINK ABOUT IT. . . . . .HOW DO I LOVE THEE, LORD?
The Bible says in John 14:18-21, Jesus said, β€œI will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
In Matthew 22:37 Jesus tells us the first and greatest commandment that God gave us: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." And in the above verses tells us the answer to the question: "HOW DO I LOVE THEE?" We are to love God the same way He loves us, as Jesus promises. 1) Jesus promises not to leave us as orphans. 2) Jesus promises to come to us and that we will see Him. 3) Jesus promises that because He lives, we will live also. 4) Jesus assures us that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him and in us. 5) Jesus promises that if we have His commandments and keep them, then it is we who love Him. 6) He promises that if we love Him, we will be loved by the Father and Jesus will love us and manifest Himself to us. There you have it! HOW DO I LOVE THEE, LORD? Let me count the ways! With every fiber of my being, with everything I've got, with everything I am......just like Jesus loves me. Choose Jesus, Choose Life!

JUST THINK ABOUT IT. . . . .OUTSIDE THE CITY
The Bible says in Hebrews 13:11-15, "Under the system of Jewish laws, the high priest brought the blood of the slain animals into the sanctuary as a sacrifice for sin, and then the bodies of the animals were burned outside the city. That is why Jesus suffered and died outside the city, where his blood washed our sins away. So let us go out to him beyond the city walls (that is, outside the interests of this world, being willing to be despised to suffer with Him there, bearing His shame. For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven. With Jesus’ help we will continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by telling others of the glory of His name."
In the verses above we can see how God dealt with the sin of mankind, as shown in the Old Testament before Jesus lived on the earth. The high priest brought the blood of the sacrificed animals into the sanctuary and the bodies of the animals were burned OUTSIDE THE CITY. It is not a coincidence that as part of God's plan of salvation, that in the New Testament Jesus suffered and died for our sins OUTSIDE THE CITY. And we find out why. Now we can go out to Jesus, beyond the city walls, which is outside the interests of this world, where we are willing to be despised to suffer with Him there, bearing His shame. OUTSIDE THE CITY where His blood washed our sins away and gives us an everlasting home in heaven. Now we can offer our sacrifice of praise to our Heavenly Father by telling others what Jesus has done, once and for all. Choose Jesus, Choose Life!
