First Church of Winsted's early beginnings created the name of the town in which we are located. Our charter was granted by the state to the area between Wi******er and Barkhamsted...Winsted! First Church has become so much more to our community, recognizing the importance of children, and the need to care for each other, ever mindful of "what would Jesus do?"

With much thought and consideration, the Church Cabinet has decided for the safety of everyone that we will be cancelling Worship Service this Sunday, January 25th, due to the significant winter storm coming.
