Mother Marla and her wonderful religious order has come to Maine and given beautiful talks/retreats numerous times! The Maronite Servants of Christ the Light has come to St Josephs in Waterville and provided beautiful insight to our Faith both for the benefit of the Maronite Rite and the parish of Corpus Christi! Congrats Mother Marla on this nomination.

At last nights meeting our Council signed two very special cards; one to Father Jakob of the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn (Maronite Rite) on the celebration of his Ordination and another for Father Jim Roy of the Maryknoll Fathers on his retirement! Its fitting both these cards were signed tonight, as one is ordained one retires and in the same breath the beauty of our Church comes full circle! When Father Jim was ordained it was the students of St Joseph’s Maronite school who “adopted” him as he went to the missions in Africa. Father Jim is a friend to all, and a great supporter of the Knights and our Faith. Thank you Father Jim for being a wonderful friend and priest. Thank you for your years of service to the Maronites, the Missions and the parish of Corpus Christi.

We would like to take the time to Thank both Jen, the committee and the mill manager of Huhtamaki whom graciously donated another round of paper plates to our Council. Its one of many generous donations that allows our Council to continue its benefit meals that support so many within our community. Thank you to Huhtamaki again for giving us the ability to do this!

If able to attend! The Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn has ordained a priest here in Waterville Maine! His first Mass will be at 10am at St Josephs! Our Council and the parish of Corpus Christi prays for him and his service!
