June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a devotion that highlights Christ’s boundless love, mercy, and compassion for all people. While devotion to the Sacred Heart dates back centuries, it became especially widespread through the visions received by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the seventeenth century, in which Jesus revealed His Heart as a symbol of His great love for humanity and called people to respond through prayer and devotion.

The Sacred Heart reminds us that Jesus loves each of us personally and invites us to draw closer to Him through prayer, trust, and acts of charity. Throughout this month, Catholics are encouraged to honor the Sacred Heart through prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and renewed devotion to Christ’s loving care.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
