Good morning, friends. I hope you are safe, warm, and at peace today. The weather has slowed everything down here, and like many of you, I find myself at home with unexpected quiet. Instead of fighting the pause, I wanted to share a few thoughts from my heart.
When life slows us down, we often feel frustrated. We think about what we planned to do and what we cannot do. Yet I have learned something over the years. Some of the most important shifts in our lives happen when God slows our pace.
I believe many of us are in a season where God is inviting us to live differently. Not faster. Not louder. Not more crowded. But deeper, steadier, and more attentive.
For a long time, we have measured life by productivity and activity. We ask, “What did I accomplish today?” But a deeper question is, “Who am I becoming?”
Stillness gives us space to ask that question honestly.
I see a vision for our lives that is not built on constant motion, but on clarity, purpose, and connection. A life where faith shapes our decisions, where relationships matter more than schedules, and where we listen for God’s direction instead of rushing past it.
Sometimes snow, storms, or interruptions are not accidents. They are invitations. Invitations to reset our priorities. Invitations to notice what we have ignored. Invitations to hear a quieter voice.
So today, I invite you to do something simple. Take five quiet minutes. Turn off the noise. Sit with your thoughts. Offer a short prayer. Ask God, “What are you teaching me in this season?” Then listen without rushing the answer.
You might be surprised by what rises in your heart.
My hope for you is not only safety this weekend, but renewal. My prayer is that this quiet time becomes meaningful, not empty. And my vision is that when we step back into our routines, we do so with clearer hearts and steadier purpose.
Thank you for sharing this moment with me. If these words spoke to you, feel free to share them with someone who might need encouragement today. Stay safe, stay warm, and stay grounded in hope.
