Tell me it’s September without telling me it’s September…

I’ll go first.

Where are my “exhausterwhelmulated” gardeners?! 😂

Heat. Weeds. Bed prepping. Harvesting. Seed starting. Endless chores. Somehow, we’re still growing! 💪

Tell me your biggest frustrations this month?

✨Wonderful Wednesday, friends! ✨

🌸 One of my favorite flowers to dry is Celosia!

It thrives in this South Carolina heat—and thankfully, it dries beautifully in it too! 🙌🏼

Did you know there are actually three main types of Celosia?

🌿 Plume (plumosa)
🌿 Feather (spicata)
🌿 Cockscomb (cristata)

And here’s the fun part: they don’t all dry the same way!

The feather Celosia is usually the quickest, taking about a week to dry, while the cockscomb takes a little longer.

I love seeing how each variety changes as it dries and knowing we can enjoy these flowers long after summer is gone. 🥰

Have you ever dried flowers from your garden? If so, what kind? 👇🏼

There are so many things to be thankful for and a big thing is a garden space to grow the things we love and things others enjoy!

If you haven’t yet had a garden, plan one for next year! Start small and grow in confidence!

No need to be afraid, we were meant to grow our own food and enjoy beautiful blooms!

✨Happy Tuesday, friends!✨

🍂 Y’all…is that a cool breeze I feel?! And am I actually sitting on the front porch without sweating?! 😂🙌

Could Fall actually be coming to South Carolina?!

When I lived in Virginia, September meant pumpkin spice, turning leaves, cozy sweaters, and all things Fall. 🍁

Then I moved South and learned the truth:

September isn’t Fall in South Carolina—it’s just summer wearing a September calendar. 😂

But I’ll gladly take this week’s cooler weather! It’s making working in the garden SO much more enjoyable. 👩‍🌾

So, my fellow South Carolinians…

When does Fall officially arrive for you? 🍂
September? October? Or whenever the humidity finally gives us a break? 😂

✨ ✨ Happy Saturday of Labor Day Weekend! 😉✨

One of my favorite things about having this little corner of the internet is getting to know you! So often, I don’t get the privilege of chatting with you in person, and I love learning the little things that make your lives special.

So, here’s a question for you:

🇺🇸 What is a tradition you have every Labor Day Weekend?

Maybe it’s a big family cookout, a trip to the lake, watching football, heading to the beach, or simply enjoying a slower weekend at home.

Whatever it is, tell me in the comments! 👇

I’d love to hear what Labor Day Weekend looks like in your family!

✨Happy Friday, friends!✨

For many of you, today marks the beginning of your Labor Day weekend. Woohoo!!

So here’s a fun fact for you. After years of wondering why you would call a day off from work Labor Day, I did a bit of research. According to trustworthy Google (said sarcastically), I found that this holiday goes back to labor unions. Many wanted to celebrate their workers and after it was discovered that several states were already giving a day to celebrate them, it was made into an official Holiday.

This is one of the few holidays we celebrate with Canada but about 150 countries also celebrate a day like this called International Workers Day. It is celebrated on the first of May.

🎉So as you celebrate being in the workforce, I hope you enjoy time off and some rest.

👩‍🌾Be sure to also thank a farmer as that is at least one group of worker who don’t rest from their Labors (IYKYK).

To help celebrate you and all your hard work, we are offering some beautiful flowers at The Ridgeway Country Market tomorrow.

Don’t forget to reward your hard work!

✨ Wonderful Wednesday, friends! ✨

Now that September is here, I have a question for you… 🍂🍁

What is one Fall tradition you look forward to every year? 🎃

Maybe it’s baking something pumpkin-y, going apple picking, going to the State Fair, taking a scenic drive to see the changing leaves, or simply enjoying that first crisp morning with a warm cup of coffee. ☕️

Tell me in the comments! 👇🏼 We just might need to add a new Fall tradition to our list!

Here at our house, we love pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and muffins (because obviously 😋) and making a trip to an apple orchard. 🍎

So, your turn… What says “Fall” to you? 🍂
