Wednesday Chapel — Each Wednesday, our children have the opportunity to attend chapel with Pastor Ashley from FUMC. We believe in helping children strengthen their faith, learn about God’s love, and grow in their relationship with Him.

Monthly Library Trips: We love encouraging a love of reading and giving our kids opportunities to explore the library.

Special Guest Visits: We regularly welcome special guests from our community to share their knowledge, careers, talents, and experiences with our kids.

A Fun Environment to Play & Learn: Our goal is to create a place where kids can be themselves, make friends, try new things, and have FUN!

Homework Help & Tutoring: Need a little extra help after school? We have someone available to help students with homework and keep them on track.

At Learning Tree, we believe childcare should be more than supervision. It should be a place where children feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and excited to come each day.

Join us for a Come & Go Classroom Shower as we celebrate one of our own as he begins his journey as a new teacher!

Let’s help stock his classroom with supplies to give his students a great start to the school year. Every notebook, box of crayons, pack of pencils, and classroom essential makes a difference.

If you’d like to bring a gift, classroom supplies, books, educational games, or a gift card to a school supply store are all greatly appreciated. But an encouraging note or card is also so appreciated.

Let’s show him how proud we are and send him into his first year of teaching with a classroom full of support!

It’s time! 2026-27 after school enrollment will begin tomorrow. If you are interested please send me a message on Facebook, text or email. Also including a few testimonials from parents. We have worked hard on our program and we are so pleased that not only do the children love it, the parents do too!

Last week was a busy one at Learning Tree!

We were excited to welcome Sheriff Josh, Mr. Mike, and Mrs. Toni back to Learning Tree. They taught the children valuable ATV and water safety tips. Our kids always look forward to spending time with them, and we’re so grateful they take the time to invest in our campers.

After their lesson on water safety we kicked off our first Water Day of the summer. The kids had an absolute blast cooling off and enjoying time with their friends.

Mrs. Ginger visited us to teach the children about the importance of wearing sunscreen. She led a fun science and art activity where the kids drew on black construction paper using sunscreen. After placing their artwork in the sun, they watched as the paper faded everywhere except where the sunscreen had been applied? a hands-on lesson they won’t soon forget!

We wrapped up the week by helping our campers decorate their scooters for the 4th of July downtown kids parade on Thursday afternoon. They had so much fun showing off their creative designs, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate our community together!

Another fun week at Learning Tree Summer Camp is in the books!

We wrapped up our summer library visits with one last trip to the Summer Reading Program. The kids enjoyed fun stories, singing, and balloon animals with Cowboy Bob!

Mrs. Liz introduced our older campers to the art element of texture, teaching them how to create texture using different types of lines. Meanwhile, our littles read The Dot and used their imaginations to create unique works of art inspired by a single dot.

We also had another wonderful chapel with Pastor Ashley on Wednesday. She read from Philippians and reminded the kids that we all have a superpower, the power to focus on what is honorable, good, and true instead of dwelling on the bad. It was such an encouraging lesson for both the kids and staff.

Mrs. Pat helped our younger campers make pudding, which they were excited to enjoy as a tasty snack.

To finish the week, our older kids put their cooking skills to work by making baked ziti while continuing to learn the importance of kitchen cleanliness and food safety.

Another week of fun at Learning Tree Summer Camp is in the books!

We kicked off the week with Mrs. Pat, who showed our younger campers how to make a delicious and healthy snack using yogurt and fresh strawberries. They had so much fun creating their tasty treats!

In art class, Mrs. Elizabeth introduced our older campers to the element of line, challenging them to use a variety of line types to complete their projects. Our younger artists enjoyed video of I’m Not Just a Scribble before creating and naming their very own scribble characters while learning about colors and lines.

Wednesday was another fun trip to the library to meet some incredible animal ambassadors from the Monroe Zoo! The kids were fascinated by each of the animals and loved learning all about them. We also enjoyed a special Bible lesson with Pastor Ashley, who continues to present Bible stories that our kids easily understand and that helps them grow in their faith.

To wrap up the week, our big girls stepped into the kitchen with Mrs. Niki and learned how to make homemade jambalaya. We love giving our campers opportunities to build real life skills while having fun!

We have just one more week left in June, but there’s still plenty of excitement ahead. July will bring etiquette lessons and a fan favorite, Water Wednesdays! We can’t wait to make even more memories together!
