Faith the Moves Mountains

Mark 11:22–24 (KJV)
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Every believer will face mountains.

Some mountains are sickness, grief, financial need, broken relationships, fear, delay, opposition, or situations that seem impossible to change. Jesus did not say believers would never see mountains. He taught us how to respond when we do.

The answer is not faith in ourselves, faith in money, faith in people, or faith in a good outcome. Jesus said,

“Have faith in God.”

Mountain-moving faith is confidence in the character, power, authority, and Word of God.

Faith Begins With God, Not the Mountain.

Jesus did not tell the disciples to study the size of the mountain. He told them to have faith in God.

The mountain may be real, painful, and overwhelming. We do not deny that it exists. But we must never allow the mountain to become greater in our eyes than God.

What Mountain-Moving Faith Looks Like

Mountain-moving faith:

Trusts God above the circumstances.

Speaks God’s Word over the situation.

Refuses to surrender to doubt and fear.

Obeys God even when it does not make natural sense.

Forgives quickly and keeps the heart clear.

Continues to pray without giving up.

Gives God glory before the manifestation appears.

Declarations of Faith

I have faith in God.

My mountain is not greater than my God.

I will not be moved by what I see, hear, or feel. I will be moved by the Word of God.

I speak peace to my mind, strength to my body, and hope to my situation.

I release fear, doubt, bitterness, and discouragement.

I believe God is faithful to perform what He has promised.

I will not faint. I will stand in faith until I see the goodness of the Lord.

God’s Presence Changes Everything

Emmanuel: God With Us

Matthew 1:22-23 KJV
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

God could have sent another prophet. He could have sent another message.
But He came Himself.

That is the power of Emmanuel.

Jesus is not a distant King watching from far away. He is God with us — with us in pain, with us in waiting, with us in uncertainty, and with us in the places nobody else sees.

Matthew wants us to see that the King came near. Before Jesus preached the Kingdom, He became present with us.

God’s presence may not change everything around us immediately, but it changes everything within us. When God is with us, we are not abandoned. We are not forgotten. We are not alone.

Kingdom Gem:
The King came near, and His presence changes everything.

Heart Check:
Where do I need to remember that God is with me right now?

Declaration:
God is with me in this.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Emmanuel, God with us. Help me recognize Your presence in this season and stand in the truth that I am never alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The King Calls Followers, Not Fans

Scripture: Matthew 4:18-22

Kingdom Focus: Kingdom living requires immediate surrender.

Devotion:When Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, and John, He said, “Follow me.” He did not invite them into casual admiration. He called them into discipleship.

There is a difference between being impressed by Jesus and following Jesus. Many admired His miracles, but fewer carried His cross. Many listened to His teaching, but fewer obeyed His commands.

The disciples left their nets. Nets represented income, identity, security, and familiar patterns. Following the King often requires leaving what has defined us so He can remake us.

Jesus said, “I will make you.” That means Kingdom transformation is not self-made. It happens as we follow. The King forms us as we walk with Him.

Heart Examination:Am I truly following Jesus, or am I only admiring Him from a comfortable distance?

Kingdom Prayer:Lord Jesus, I do not want to be only a fan. I want to be a follower. Give me the courage to leave behind anything that keeps me from obeying You fully. Amen.

Kingdom Action:Identify one “net” that may be holding you back from deeper obedience.

The King’s First Message

Scripture: Matthew 4:17

Kingdom Focus: The Kingdom requires repentance.

Jesus began His public ministry with a message that still confronts every generation: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Repentance is not just crying. It is not just feeling bad. It is a change of mind that produces a change of direction. The Kingdom cannot be entered while we insist on ruling ourselves.

To repent is to admit that our way is not higher than God’s way. It is to turn from sin, pride, self-will, bitterness, fear, rebellion, and religious performance. It is to come under the government of God.

Many want Kingdom benefits without Kingdom surrender. We want healing, provision, peace, and favor, but Jesus first says, “Repent.” The King does not come to negotiate with our flesh. He comes to rule.

Heart Examination:Where have I wanted the blessings of the Kingdom without surrendering to the authority of the King?

Kingdom Prayer:Father, give me a repentant heart. Show me where I have resisted Your rule. I do not want to simply hear about the Kingdom; I want to live under Your authority. In the name of Jesus Amen.

Returning to the Four Gospels: Rediscovering the King of the Kingdom and the Call to Kingdom Living.

The four Gospels reveal the King from different angles:

Matthew reveals Jesus as the promised King and Messiah.

Mark reveals Jesus as the Servant King moving with authority and power.

Luke reveals Jesus as the compassionate Savior who reaches the broken, the poor, the outcast, and the lost.

John reveals Jesus as the eternal Son of God, full of grace, truth, life, and glory.

Mother's Day Gathering at Empower Outreach Ministry!

The seven sisters who presented women of the Bible all did a wonderful job! Each presentation was anointed, powerful, and a blessing to everyone in attendance.

We opened with Sister Amanda Townsend, who brought a beautiful and insightful presentation on Huldah the prophetess whose word confirmed the heart of God to a nation.

And we closed powerfully with a moving presentation by Minister Hattie Reed on Mary and the Alabaster Box, a woman whose extravagant act of worship became a story told for all generations.

To all seven sisters who prepared and presented you were vessels of honor this Mother's Day. Thank you for saying yes!

What a wonderful weekend at Empower Outreach Ministry! 🙌🏾

We were blessed on two fronts a highly informative Health Fair hosted by Above & Beyond Senior Services, Inc., featuring outstanding speakers who brought valuable, practical information to our community. Then we closed out the weekend with a powerful Mother's Day Gathering where our sisters beautifully presented the women of the Bible who refused to give up . Women whose persistent faith moved the hand of God.

To every speaker, presenter, and sister who poured into this weekend . Thank you! To everyone who attended. We are better because you showed up!
