First Church in Windsor

First Church in Windsor The First Church in Windsor is an open and affirming community for all God's children. You are welcome here!

At First Church, we believe that God loves all people, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. We believe in spreading the message of God’s extravagant welcome, reaching out especially to the excluded and alienated, the spiritually homeless, the questioning and those who may feel as though there is no place for them in the church. In partnership with other ministries of the United Church

of Christ, we are building communities where diverse people join together to worship, grow and dream. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.

A few joyful moments from last week’s Blessing of the Animals! 🐾

We were so grateful to welcome beloved pets, their people, and all the wonderful energy they brought with them as we celebrated the gift of God’s creation and the animals who bring so much companionship, comfort, and joy to our lives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, two-legged and four-legged alike! ❤️

The gardens are still full of color, the sunflowers are reaching for the sky, and we’re grateful for the care that helps this little corner of Windsor flourish.

Whether you’ve been part of First Church for years or have never stepped through our doors, you are always welcome here. ❤️

"Gordon was a brilliant man with a hearty laugh and a bigger heart, generous with his time and talents. We loved him dearly and were honored to call him friend."

A truly beautiful reflection to memorialize our dearly departed friend, Gordon Kenneson. Thank you to our friends and neighbors at the Windsor Historical Society for these words.

Gordon, we miss you.

Our hearts are broken by the passing of beloved volunteer Gordon Kenneson. Gordon was a member of our museum community for decades: docent, gardener, program presenter, and raconteur. Gordon volunteered Thursday mornings at the museum's front desk for many years. He’d arrive at 10:45, with a smile...

Last night's Yard Goats game was extra special as our First Church in Windsor crew joined in for Faith & Family Night at Dunkin’ Park — a night centered on connection, community, and togetherness. ⚾

From cheering on the Yard Goats as they faced the Yankees affiliate to sharing snacks, laughter, and meaningful conversations, it was the kind of evening that reminds us how good it feels to be together.

This week, we had the extraordinary opportunity to hear from our two Pearl Tiffany Scholars during Sunday morning worship.

We are grateful for the blessings they have been to our community, and we send them with our blessings as they begin college.

The second Pearl Tiffany Scholar we heard from was Audrey Michaud.

Thank you, and congratulations, Audrey!

We are grateful for the blessings they have been to our community, and we send them with our blessings as they begin college.

The first Pearl Tiffany Scholar we heard from was Aleks Gould.

Thank you, and congratulations, Aleks!
