We would like to 🎉WELCOME🎉 Pastor Reason Chandler and his family to Woodland UMC. Pastor Chandler comes to us from Yorktown as a Retired Local Pastor with the Virginia United
Methodist Conference. He has served many UMC congregations over his 23-year career, including Jackson Street UMC, Park View UMC, Park Place UMC, Fairview UMC and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial UMC, he also served in the Portsmouth District as a Pastor Consultant.

Prior to becoming a licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church, Reason served in the Army for 10 years. He and his wife, Olivia, have been married for 31 years and have 6 children and 10 grandchildren. Reason is a passionate speaker and has served in the communities in which he has lived on several directors’ boards, including Community Access Network, Equity Task Force with the Lynchburg City Schools, Leadership Committee of Bridges Out of Poverty and the Lynchburg Chapter of Virginia Organizers. He enjoys singing and working with the youth of the church.

A welcome reception will be held on Sunday,
July 13th immediately following the church service at 10:30. The Nurture committee is organizing this event. Please bring a ‘brunch’ dish to share, contact Karen Stowe or Jill Duck to coordinate what you would like to bring as a menu item.
