When a familiar spirit arises in your midst, consider that a Korah rebellion has come among you.

The many things that are taught at Calvary International School of Ministry and Theology is the attack on churches and pastors by a Korah spirit.

The church leadership needs to guard the anointing of their house from these eight aspects of the Korah rebellion.
1-The excuse for the rebellion--the accusation against the ruling authority about having and exercising of too much power over God's people. You have no right to it. You alone are not the only holy and anointed one in the house. These are the reasons used to justify their rebellion.
2-The actual cause of Rebellion--The Korah spirit is seeking the authority of the priesthood for themselves.
3-The Korah spirit accuses the leadership of moving in the wrong direction--"You have brought us out of Egypt, a land of milk and honey to dwell in the wilderness" [Nu. 16:13]. Those who walk in this deception believe they are the ones who have heard from God concerning the direction of the ministry.
4-The Korah spirit sets its rebellion at the door of the Tabernacle--This rebellious spirit, which is a contemporary of Jezebel, deceptively seeks followers who will join with him at the door of the tabernacle. The symbolism is meant to seek an immediate judgment by casting doubt on the congregation about its present leadership. The leadership will be accused of having an anti-Christ spirit.
5-Accusation of leadership raising itself above others--Korah accused Moses of making himself a prince over Israel [Nu. 16:13]. Those who desire to usurp the authority of the church are quick to falsely accuse the ministers of exalting themselves rather than God so that they can set themselves in their place.
6-Korah accuses leadership of not being the only holy ones in the church--In an effort to overthrow the leadership and get the congregation to agree to set them over the church, they are quick to affirm their own anointing.
7-The Korah spirit will accuse the leadership of not using them--Their cry is that they are also gifted and have not been allowed to use their gifting in the midst of the congregation. They set their motivation on themselves rather than promoting the kingdom of God.
8-The Korah spirit accuses the leadership of unkept promises--Their plea is to the congregation in trying to convince them that the promises made to them when the ministry was started are not being kept. Leadership is accused of having a lying spirit. The leadership is called anti-Christ.

The Korah usurper has familiar spirits that join to him in his attempt to gain followers and set leadership against each other seeking those who would agree with him in justifying their rebellion.

Tomorrow I will write on the necessary steps to take on overcoming the Korah spirit.

I pray the LORD's continual blessing on all of you in our journey to grow God's kingdom and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
