Debbie Freeman, a Windsor resident, has spent more than a decade ensuring families in her community have food on the table when they need it most. What began with Debbie helping serve around 200 families each month has grown into an effort now reaching more than 900 families monthly.
For Debbie, fighting hunger means showing up when a neighbor needs a helping hand. Through The Good Shepherd Food Pantry of Bertie County, she works tirelessly to connect families with food and other essential resources, including those who cannot afford to wait until the next scheduled distribution.
We are proud to recognize Debbie Freeman for her compassion, generosity, and commitment to serving families in Windsor and communities across eastern North Carolina.
