What do you do when your circumstances become so overwhelming that taking matters into your own hands seems like the only option?

In Genesis 16, we see the danger of relying on our own solutions instead of waiting on God. When life feels out of control, self-reliance only brings deeper heartache. True relief comes when we lay down our own plans and look to the God who sees us, hears us, and delivers.

Is simply showing up on Sunday enough?

Biblical church membership goes far beyond attending services, liking the people, or agreeing with the doctrine. True membership means entering into a covenant commitment with a local body of believers. That includes holding each other accountable, walking together in obedience, and spurring one another on in our faith journey.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation.

God never pretends sin doesn't exist—He deals with it. ✝️

But the Gospel doesn't stop at confrontation; it declares amazing mercy to anyone who repents. Like our Heavenly Father, we must take sin seriously to protect our brothers and sisters, while generously extending grace the moment they turn back.
