Rooted and Grounded, Ephesians 3:14-21
This is the purpose of the cross, the resurrection, the ascension and Pentecost: the Holy Spirit bringing Jesus into our inner being and fully establishing us in a relationship of love with God. We live out of God's love. We do not live to try to earn or deserve God's love. It makes all the difference. Let's talk about it.

A Thought, a Renewal, a Transformation, Romans 12:1-2.
C.T. Studd, 19th century British evangelist turned missionary to Asia, wrote; only one life, t'will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last. This powerful thought gets our attention, perhaps us starts us thinking in new ways about life, and therefore works transformation in our lives. This process was evident at Pentecost and by it we also begin and grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Foundation of a Transformed Life, Titus 3:3-8
When Paul (as Saul) had his conversion experience, his entire worldview was replaced. He had thought one way about God, about Jesus, about righteousness, about priorities, and on and on. After surrendering to Christ Paul thought a new way about God, Jesus, righteousnes.... This new frame of mind produced the transformed life that launched the church. Christ in our lives transforms our minds too - and from new thinking a new way of living emerges. So let's let God's word do it's transforming work.

A New Creation in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17
The late John Stott wrote: the commonest description in the Scriptures of a follower of Jesus is that he or she is a person "in Christ." This is a phrase of deep personal relationship - a believer in Christ, and Christ in the believer. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul teaches the new creation in Christ: old - passed; new - alive. I believe this is the core experience of Peter on Pentecost, and the reality of every believer. Are you "in Christ" today?
