📖 WITNESS WEDNESDAY 📖

Devotion: “Jesus, the Example”
“As we have been in this series, following Jesus around, or anytime we follow Jesus in the scriptures or hear the stories, I find we can tend to forget who He really is. And this determines how we approach the scriptures to learn about Him or from Him. It also affects what we take away from Him.

We can sometimes see Jesus as merely our peer who was just trying to navigate life like ourselves. That He, being the best of humanity, came merely to lend humans a hand and teach us by His elevated example. And while it is true that Jesus became fully human, capable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, at the same time He never ceased to be fully God.

Jesus did not come to merely set an example, but He came to, “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). To redeem men and women through His life, death, and resurrection. It is always important to keep Him in His place. Not as just one of our peers, but as the Almighty made flesh…with all authority in heaven and on earth. He did not come to sympathize with us and leave an example, He is the God who came down and identified with us, dying on our behalf. He is the God who reaches down and takes hold of us, lifting us up out of the darkness.”

All moms to little ones, come & join us. Walk & talk with a community of other mothers. Our vision with this group is to encourage one another and help each other walk more like Jesus.

Bring a stroller, bring a friend, bring your kids- We don’t care! Just come out & join us at 10 am.

Over the weekend, our SonShine Ladies put on a Mother’s Day Brunch for grandmothers, mothers, & daughters. Generations of women shared how they can grow to reflect Christ more each day and make an impact on the generations to come. Thank you to our SonShine Ladies for a wonderful event, and thank you to everyone that joined us to celebrate all moms, young and old.

🚨We have some EXCITING NEWS 🚨

We are so excited to announce a new addition to our team here at WCC! We welcome Kyrsti Stryker as our new Children’s Minister! We are also honored to welcome her husband, Garritt, and their two boys, Isaiah & Miles. Garritt was a part of the WCC team many years ago, serving as a worship & youth pastor, and we are excited to welcome him back, as well as Kyrsti & their family. Kyrsti will start at the beginning of June, and we are thankful to have her.

Join us in welcoming them, and if you haven’t already, come be a part of what God is doing at Windfall Christian Church.
