IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Our Children’s Policy at Middle River Baptist Church..
We wanted to make sure everyone is aware of our policy regarding children in church:
If your kids are loud, please still come to church.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, please still come to church.
If your toddler won’t sit still, please still come to church.
If your baby needs to eat, please still come to church.
If your child asks questions at the least convenient time, please still come to church.
If someone cries, drops a toy, needs a snack, or has to make their third trip to the bathroom, please still come to church.
If your child doesn’t know all the words, all the prayers, or exactly when to sit and stand, please still come to church.
If you feel like you spent the entire service managing your children and heard approximately 12% of the sermon, please still come to church.
If Sunday morning feels messy instead of peaceful, please still come to church.
If you’re worried your children are distracting the people around you, please still come to church.
Because children do not learn how to be part of the Church by staying home until they can sit quietly.
They learn by being here.
They learn the hymns by hearing us sing them.
They learn the prayers by hearing us pray them.
They learn to worship by watching us worship.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.
The wiggles, whispers, dropped crayons, crying babies, and little voices are not interruptions to the life of the Church.
They are evidence that the Church is alive.
So bring the babies. Bring the toddlers. Bring the big kids. Come late. Sit in the back. Sit in the front. Step out when you need to and come right back in.
Just come.
Children are not simply the future of the Church. They are part of the Church right now...........We must invest in our young families...babies...toddlers...children and young people..."Let the little children come to me,and do not hinder them,For the kingdom of God belongs to them"Matthew 19:14.......Shared from my friend Linda Price and added the scripture......love....love...

He doesn't need to shut doors or burn Bibles. He just needs God's people to turn on each other.

Division distracts us from the mission and weakens our witness. Arguments over preferences replace unity around purpose.

If the enemy can keep us divided, the church does his work for him.

Division is subtle—but devastating. Don't fall for it.

Borrowed this, but it’s right on target for our church!!!!

We don’t want cute church. We don’t want fog machines with no fire. Lights with no oil. Crowds with no conviction.

We want revival.

We want altars soaked with tears again. We want the sound of repentance to echo louder than the beat drop. We want deliverance in the back row and baptisms mid-sermon. We want JESUS undiluted, unedited, unapologetically holy.

We’re not impressed by polished performances. We’re hungry for presence. And if it means we lose the show to gain His Spirit, so be it.

Because what we’re contending for can’t be curated, it has to be carried.

We want leaders who tremble before the Lord, not just trend online. We want churches that pray until the heavens break, not just plan services to the minute. We want people who will lay on their faces until His glory fills the room.

This generation isn’t running from Jesus, they’re running from versions of Him that are safe, scripted, and sterile.

But revival? Real revival?

It wrecks you. It changes you. It costs you comfort and reorders your priorities. And we are ready.

So don’t give us another program. Don’t sell us performance.

Give us JESUS.

We’ll trade the production for His presence every time.
