Winchester House of Prayer

Winchester House of Prayer WHOP is a gathering of intercessors, from multiple congregations, for area strategic prayer needs, in an atmosphere of abandoned worship.

We meet at several locations, depending on the need and the opportunity. Currently, we have "open hours" on Tuesdays, from 9am - 5pm, at Another Chance Church, 214 E. Piccadilly, where people can come join us in prayer or be prayed for. Specifically, during this time, we're looking for intercessors to commit to taking an hour-long time slot during that window. We also have an intercessory prayer m

eeting on Tuesday evenings, at 7pm, at Victory Church, 2870 Middle Rd, in the Prayer Room, over on the right back corner of the building. And we meet for strategic area intercession on Sunday afternoons, at 3pm, also at Another Chance Church. The Wi******er House of Prayer may be for intercessors, but it's also for worshipers. We desire to create an atmosphere of abandoned worship that is an extension of the worship going on around the throne of God (Rev 5:8) and in which God can extend His throne into our lives and rule and reign from there (Ps 22:3), through our intercession. We've been doing this with CD accompaniment, but we'd love to have singers and musicians join us too. We'll post meeting updates and schedule changes here as needed.

Let's remember that God is still on His throne, and nothing the devil can do can change that.

Remember what happened when Jesus was here before... It looked like Satan had beaten Him, when Jesus was crucified. But then, God used Satan's own actions to establish Jesus as the Messiah, and ultimately, to crush his head.

And it will be the same way today. God will use the enemy's own actions to purify the Bride of Christ, so that like Jesus, we too will learn obedience through our sufferings. And then like Jesus, we too, will ultimately get the victory and crush the enemy.

Prayer warriors, WHOP is going to start doing some prayer walks and prayer drives this summer and fall, the first of which is next Saturday, June 13, at 10am. We're going to be meeting at the Victory Church prayer room for worship, and then we'll be driving out to several locations around the northern and eastern perimeter of Wi******er for prayer.

I'll keep you posted as more events are planned.
