Don’t tell me I shouldn’t be angry when Scripture says, “Be angry and do not sin.” If anger is a God given emotion, and it is, then Christians should get sngry when their Spirit is greived by unrighteousness. Don’t cuss…don’t punch someone in the face, but speak the truth with love. And sometimes loves flips tables because “religious people” hide behind their religion for money and political purposes. Be the same person in real life that you are on social media. You might not like me, but what I say on facebook I say and do in real life. Ask my real friends…not the ones who only show up when November is approaching in the windshield Don’t put politics ahead of your calling whether you are a republican or democrat. And if you want to know…I use foundational truths to filter who I select to vote for. Not my heritage through my family or the pressure I feel from my peer group
Also, I continually see a trend about not offending nonbelievers. Just be kind and loving. It’s just their culture. You’ll drive a wall between them and Jesus. And my head spins at the justification and minimization of blasphemy and sin. Peter stood before nonbelievers on the birthday of the church and said, “you’re murderers and accomplices in the murder of a miracle producing, sinless Messiah who died for you and rose again!!!” The result…sin was confronted…the Holy Spirit did His amazing JOB. By the way, this is the first sermon by a Holy Spirit filled Apostle Peter on the birthday of the Church. (It’s a pretty good syllabus to follow) Placating or angrily hoping people burn in hell (I’ve seen both) isnt the goal. Salvation is the goal. It’s not about Trump or Harris or your team. This is spiritual. And Satan fights dirty.
If we who are called to make disciples for Jesus have a spirit of timidity or are lukewarm like Laodicia Jesus himself wants to vomit. Without honestly identifying sin and dealing with it the world cannot be convicted by the Holy Spirit in regards to sin, guilt, and the judgment. It’s his job to convict. It’s our calling to speak the truth of what sin does and why we needed a Messiah to save us from it. Jesus means “Savior”. Important to remember He wasn’t named “Agape’” or “Karis” (love and grace).
Jesus help us be courageous enough to chose you even when the world hates us like it hated you. Help us be honest with people who are about to get run over by the truck of eternity instead if telling them “oh it’s ok to stand in the highway during rush hour.” I’m not ashamed of you Lord…I was standing in that highway. And you sent your Holy Spirit to call me and He worked through individuals who got me off a highway of death.
Noah preached that judgment was coming for 120 years and he had 7 people respond. His family. The days of Noah are happening. The birth contractions seem to be getting stronger. Maranatha Sweet Lord. Come Quickly but I pray I lead my family to the ark and maybe get one or two off the super highway of death. Go Jesus
