Day Six – I Have Seen the Lord
Scripture: John 20:18
“Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord.’”
Tears become testimony.
Mary arrived in darkness. She leaves in declaration.
Notice what she does not say. She does not explain the mechanics of resurrection. She
does not argue theology. She simply witnesses.
“I have seen the Lord.”
Easter invites us into the same confession. Not abstract belief — living encounter.
As you prepare for worship tomorrow, consider: What has the risen Christ done in your
life? Where has He brought light into darkness?
You may not have all the answers. But you may have a story.
Reflection Questions:
● How has Christ met you in your own garden moments?
● Can you say, in your own way, “I have seen the Lord”?
Prayer:
Risen Savior, prepare my heart for Easter. Let tomorrow not be routine but encounter.
Make me a witness of Your life. Amen

Day Five – Do Not Cling to Me
Scripture: John 20:17
“Do not cling to me… But go to my brothers and say to them…”
Mary moves from clinging to commissioning.
Resurrection faith is not possessive — it is proclaiming. The risen Christ sends her
outward.
We often want to hold tightly to spiritual moments. Yet Easter calls us beyond the
garden into mission.
The first witness of the resurrection was sent with a message: “I have seen the Lord.”
Faith that remains private misses its purpose.
Reflection Questions:
● Where might Christ be sending you?
● Who in your life needs to hear a word of hope?
Prayer:
Lord, do not let me cling only to comfort. Send me with courage to share what I have
seen and known of You. Amen.

Day Four – Mary
Scripture: John 20:16
“Jesus said to her, ‘Mary.’”
Everything changes in a single word.
Recognition comes not through sight, but through relationship. The Shepherd calls His
sheep by name (John 10:3). Resurrection becomes personal.
Christian faith is not merely believing that Jesus rose. It is hearing Him call you.
He does not call us by label — sinner, failure, doubter. He calls us by name.
Easter is intimate.
Reflection Questions:
● When have you sensed Christ calling you personally?
● What might He be speaking to you in this season?
Prayer:
Living Christ, speak my name. Help me recognize Your voice above all others. Amen.

Day Three – Why Are You Weeping?
Scripture: John 20:13
“Woman, why are you weeping?”
Jesus does not scold Mary’s tears. He engages them.
Grief is not faithlessness. It is love in pain. Mary’s sorrow proves her devotion. And
Jesus meets her there.
Resurrection does not deny sorrow. It transforms it.
Many of us carry hidden griefs — over lost people, lost seasons, lost hopes. The risen
Christ does not rush past tears. He stands near them.
Before He calls her by name, He asks her to speak her sorrow.
Reflection Questions:
● What grief have you not fully brought before Christ?
● Can you imagine Him asking gently, “Why are you weeping?”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, meet me in my sorrow. Help me trust that You stand near even when I
cannot recognize You. Amen

Day Two – The Stone Was Rolled Away
Scripture: John 20:1
“She saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.”
The stone was not rolled away so Jesus could escape. He was already risen. The stone
was moved so the disciples could see.
God often removes obstacles not for His benefit, but for ours. The resurrection was
already accomplished. The disciples needed revelation.
What stones feel immovable in your life? Fear? Regret? Bitterness? Weariness?
Easter reminds us that what appears sealed may already be conquered.
The stone did not announce resurrection — it revealed it.
Reflection Questions:
● What “stone” in your life feels too heavy?
● Where might God already be at work beyond what you can see?
Prayer:
Risen Lord, move what blocks my vision. Help me see where You are already at work.
Amen.

Six Days to Easter
Preparing Our Hearts for the Garden
John 20:1–18
Day One – While It Was Still Dark
Scripture: John 20:1
“Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark…”
Easter begins in darkness.
John is deliberate with his wording. It was not simply early; it was still dark. Resurrection
does not wait for perfect lighting. It breaks into shadow.
We often imagine faith as clarity. Yet Scripture shows us something different. God
frequently works before we see clearly. Abraham left before he knew. Moses followed
before he understood. The disciples trusted before they grasped.
Mary walked toward the tomb in darkness, carrying grief. She did not know resurrection
was coming. She only knew love compelled her forward.
Sometimes faith is simply walking toward God even when we do not yet understand
what He is doing.
Reflection Questions:
● Where does life feel “still dark” for you right now?
● What would it look like to walk toward Christ in that place?
Prayer:
Lord, in the places where I cannot see clearly, help me to walk toward You anyway.
Teach me to trust before I understand. Amen
