Due to the expectation of bad weather, we’re going to cancel Saturday’s Adventure UMC Work Day at Aldersgate. We were looking forward to getting some good work done together, but sometimes wisdom means not fighting the forecast.

Join the Construction Hike for Hope on Saturday, May 16 at General Butler State Resort Park. This hike supports mental health awareness and su***de prevention within the construction industry, where the rates of su***de remain alarmingly high.

At Adventure UMC, we believe the trail can become a place of healing, honest conversation, community, and hope. Whether you work in construction, know someone who does, or simply want to walk alongside others in support, we’d love for you to join us.

Registration begins at 9 AM, with the hike starting at 10 AM. If you’d like to hike with our group, let us know in the comments or send us a message.

We made some updates to our paintsville lake trip coming up. The weather will be in the mid 50s all day so be sure to bring a light jacket with you.

Adventure UMC Indian Staircase hike

The weather looks like it will be perfect for hiking this afternoon! It will be in the mid 60’s, partially cloudy, and a 0% chance of rain.

Some things that you should remember to bring are:
- A backpack
- A water bottle
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
- A small snack
- A light jacket
- And some sturdy hiking shoes
