It was a joy to share our worship service this morning with Pastor David Duckworth and his lovely wife, Stacy. Pastor Duckworth brought us a wonderful message, "Cultivating the Fear of God" based on Luke 12:1-12.
Everything we think, say and do is known by God. Our walk, our entire lives are known by God. The way we behave in front of the world should be the same as we are behind closed doors. On Judgement Day, all of our actions and behaviors will be shown and made known. We need to fear the judgement of God, live our lives according to His Word. He will reward us with eternal life. When we do wrong, He gets our attention and let's us know. He also will still love us. He loves us and wants us to love Him. We need to acknowledge the beauty and glory of God that is all around us.

"Our Future Is In God's Hands" Psalm 37:3-7

Wouldn't it be great if we could all live a "storybook" life? A life where everything is perfect? We would never have to worry about anything? But...most lives are not a "fairy tale". There will always be something to worry about, something that goes wrong, something that needs to be fixed. God has given us a way out of these troubles. All we have to do is put our trust in Him. Every day, every year, our entire life even into eternity, God will be by our side. He will give us love, hope, direction and purpose. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".

God displays 3 main characteristics:
1 - He absolutely cannot lie.
2 - He is always fair.
3 - He is always faithful.
Because of these we must trust Him, believe in His promises to us. There are over 8,000 promises in the Bible from God and we can believe that He will keep every one of them. That gives us something to live for and look forward to.

A big Thank You to Pastor Glenn Welsh for bringing us our message this past Sunday. It was titled, "Just Look" and based on Numbers 21:4-7.
We don't always have an easy journey. The way is not always clear and free of pitfalls. This can cause us to become bitter and discouraged. We serve God, we praise God, we pray and everything feels right until we're thrown a curve ball. It knocks us off center, we lose sight of what's right. Then what? "Just Look". Look to God for salvation, protection, direction and strength. "Just Look" to God for His blessings and love. We need to pray for one another. Pray that those who are lost in sin will "Just Look" to Jesus and find their way to eternal life. If you ever feel that you're lost and can't find your way, "Just Look" to Jesus. Pray that your faith and purpose will be restored. Amen. 🙏
