Fellow Christians, make sure the version of the Bible you are reading and studying is indeed the Word of God. There are many versions of the Bible that are not good translations. Personally, I always read, study, and preach from a word for word Bible. These are the best versions because they translate each individual word from the original Hebrew and Greek texts. The more you get away from a word for word translation into a thought for thought and down to a paraphrase (which I would NEVER recommend) the less of the Word of God you will have. This is my personal conviction.

Today is a special day at Voice For Christ Open Bible Church. Pastor Joshua Grimes, our Eastern Regional Director, is coming to our church to honor Pastor Jeff and Pastor James. As some of you know, Pastor Josh was the pastor here at VFC for 14 years before Jeff became pastor in 2007. Pastor Josh has been a very special mentor and friend to Jeff and I throughout the years. After the ceremony, he will be bringing the Word of God. I would like to invite everyone to come out this morning. This is going to be a special service. Thank you, and God bless.
