Spring in Wi******er = Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival®

Christ Church is selling parade seats along Washington Street for both Apple Blossom parades (May 1 & 2, 2026) beginning on Sunday, April 12. We will sell tickets on Sundays (April 12, 19, 26) between services from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm. We will also sell tickets on Wednesdays (April 15, 22 and 29) from noon to 2:00 pm. Sales will be in the Parish Hall at 132 W. Boscawen Street. All sales are in-person by cash or check. Seats cannot be held. Tickets are $5 each for the Firefighters Parade on Friday, May 1, and $8 each for the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, May 2. All proceeds will support our ministry with Bright Futures Frederick/Wi******er!

Seats will be available to purchase at the parades as well!

Did you know that Christ Church is home to these famous sports radio personalities? Jackson and Dan broadcasting the Handley/Varina boys basketball Class 4 State Semifinal game played at Highland Springs High School on March 6th (broadcasted on iHeart Media Wi******er’s Classic Country 95.7). The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s gather together for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there.

Reminder that our Ash Wednesday services tomorrow, February 18, are at 7 am in the Pilgrim's Chapel (at 132 W. Boscawen Street), and at noon and 7 pm in the church. All are welcome.

Thanks to all of the volunteers that came out to support our host week for Wi******er Area Temporary Transitional Shelter last week. We had 145 volunteers from Christ Church and the community, and averaged 38 guests per night. What a blessing to welcome those guests during such cold winter weather with safe shelter, nourishing food, and friendly faces all around!

Just some flowers to brighten your scroll. These beautiful altar flowers were given by Art & Lee Perkins in memory of their loved ones for Sunday, January 25th - the services cancelled due to snowy weather. The florist is Bluebells - just down Boscawen Street from us.
