When I began my rediscovery with the church it was difficult, overwhelming and tear filled. I grew up in the church but never understood the gospel. When I found out I was expecting my second daughter and watching my world fall apart I turned to Heavenly Father and just prayed to know if he was truly there.

I’m a single mom of two little girls, I’ve been inactive for over 6 years, I thought there’s no way God wants a relationship with me. How I was so wrong. Jesus will always welcome us home, He’s not waiting with a shaking finger ready to demand an explanation but rather with open arms and unconditional love.

I cried tears of joy and peace when I held my temple recommend for the first time in years. My endowment was one of the most healing experiences In my life. I am so grateful for the temple and how it allows me to build my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I love Jesus Christ and am so thankful for him and for the way He works in our lives to bring us home 🤍

“On my mission, I had the chance to serve at the Grand Junction, Colorado temple open house. We met so many people each day, and even in really short conversations, we got to share why the temple means so much to us.

One experience that’s stuck with me was meeting a woman who came to visit with her daughter. She spent a long time in the baptistry, just sitting and taking it all in. As we talked with her, she shared how peaceful she felt—and we were able to testify that what she was feeling was the Spirit, and that the temple is truly God’s house.

She came back multiple times because she wanted to feel that again. The temple answered so many questions for her that the world could not. Eventually, she met with missionaries and chose to be baptized.

Experiences like that remind me how special the temple really is. It’s peaceful, it’s powerful, and it truly feels like heaven is a little closer there. I believe our spirits feel at home at the temple.

I’ve found so much joy in attending the temple and always feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, when I go. I am so thankful for temples around the world and for the covenants that connect us to Heaven.”

Construction of the Wi******er temple is moving quickly, and excitement continues to grow as more of it is being built.

In 2021, President Nelson said,

“My dear brothers and sisters, these are the latter days. If you and I are to withstand the forthcoming perils and pressures, it is imperative that we each have a firm spiritual foundation built upon the rock of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

So I ask each of you, how firm is your foundation? And what reinforcements to your testimony and understanding of the gospel are needed?”

Now is the time to build that strong foundation on our Savior Jesus Christ—and the House of the Lord is the perfect place to do it 🤍

The images of the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple Visitor Center were recently released.

One of the exciting new additions is a unique “Inside a Temple” tour that takes you through the different rooms that Latter Day Saints worship in when inside a temple—a baptistry, a sealing room, an instruction room and a celestial room. These rooms aren’t in the temple, but are designed to match the rooms that are.

“The experience highlights the sacred significance of the Salt Lake Temple and other temples around the world, and the Christ-centered beliefs of the Church. All are welcome to join in the open house celebration to tour the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple and surrounding Temple Square from April 2027 to October 2027.”

“In 2024, I felt the need to be in the temple on a random day of the week. I worked it out with my husband so that I was able to make the trip alone. In the chaos of leaving, I had forgotten my family name that I had planned on doing an endowment session for. I was so bummed! But as I walked into the temple, I saw an older woman sitting outside. She stopped me and asked if I had a family name and I told her I didn’t. She asked if I’d be willing to do one of hers and I said absolutely! I did the session, nothing particularly amazing happened, although I loved being in the temple, and then I went home.

A couple of weeks later, my husband and I went to the temple together to perform sealings for our anniversary. As we sat waiting to go into the sealing room, I saw the same lady that I had seen weeks earlier whose family name I did the endowment for. I silently prayed we would end up in the same room together so that I could tell her. I wasn’t surprised when that prayer was answered and we went in together. I whispered to her that a couple weeks earlier she had given me a name to do and I was happy to see her again. She asked if I would go through her stack and see if that same name needed a sealing performed. I immediately was overcome with anxiety because I didn’t know if I’d recognize the name. I looked at the top name, didn’t look familiar, I looked at the second name and the Spirit overcame my body instantly and I recognized this wonderful woman’s name. With tears in my eyes, I held up the name and said “this is her”. She smiled and asked if I would do the honor of performing her sealing that day. I had the privilege of sealing her to her parents.

I know that miracles happen, and I know that they happen every single day in the House of the Lord. There are no coincidences. There can’t be. What were the odds of us being at the temple at the same time on two different days? This was another testament to me that the Lord is fully aware of us and that when we listen to promptings, we can more effectively help gather Israel, on both sides of the veil. I can’t wait to meet this woman and give her a hug!”

“This is me in front of the Urdanetta Philippines temple which is the closest to our Angeles Philippines mission. I recently went with other senior missionaries from my office to the new Alabang temple just below Manila. When I go I feel such a family atmosphere with total strangers. We are linked together. As we look at the outside my attention and thoughts are drawn upwards, the spire pointing towards our heavenly home where we want to return.

One of the young men I helped introduce the gospel to recently made a comment to his nonmember father who asked him why he wants to go to our church when this other church will give him various things. He listed a bunch of things. He told him that our church will give him eternal life. There are a lot of things we can do in this life if we don’t go to the temple, but they just don’t compare to the freedom and opportunities we have on the other side of the veil if we keep our covenants and have the faith to follow all of God’s commandments. I testify of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His atoning sacrifice for us, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon which is a temple text and the guiding voice of a prophet on the earth today, President Dallin H Oaks.”

“Every woman and every man who makes covenants with God and keeps those covenants, and who participates worthily in priesthood ordinances, has direct access to the power of God. Those who are endowed in the house of the Lord receive a gift of God’s priesthood power by virtue of their covenant, along with a gift of knowledge to know how to draw upon that power.”

“John and I were married and sealed at the Washington ,DC Temple on April 27th 2024. We have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true restored church that existed when Jesus Christ came to the earth.

The ordinances performed in the temple for our deceased ancestors give everyone the opportunity to accept the gospel.

There is nothing quite like the experience of performing ordinances for a deceased loved one and feeling their joy and elation. Sacred and unique feelings of appreciation are felt in the holy House of the Lord.”
