We often talk about triggers as something that happens in the moment.

But what if we also learned how to prepare our hearts before we even walk into the room?

To carry peace, to carry joy, and to carry love, so we are not pulled into familiar patterns that steal our peace.

And to gently pay attention to the thoughts that rise up, so we can discern what is true and what is not.

Family gatherings can sometimes bring up old wounds, old reactions, and old patterns.

When you feel triggered, you don't have to respond the way you always have.

Pause. Step away if needed. Ask the Lord to remind you who you are in Him.

Freedom begins when we stop partnering with what Christ has already set us free from.
