About Wilton Memorial Rose Garden
This is the new Rose Garden page. There are 520 roses honoring family and friends. It was started by then Post Master Ann Plant. Community residents were invited to purchase or provide a rose to be planted in memory of a family member or friend. Although there is no longer room for more roses, a Commemorative Brick path has been established. Community res

idents are invited to purchase a brick for $25.00. Bricks have been purchased to commemorate birthdays, anniversaries and more. The garden is a serene place to visit and meditate, or to enjoy the fragrance of the roses. The rose garden operates solely on donations, monetary and otherwise. If you would like to make a donation or volunteer to help prune or dead-head roses throughout the year, please send a message and you will be contacted. An annual Memorial Day Observance is held at the Wilton Post Office parking lot. The program includes Boy Scout Troop 581 Color Guard, Wilton Christian School Choir, Speakers, Veteran's Display by Wilton History Group, and refreshments by the Wilton Firefighters' Association.

Some excitement this morning. We had a special visitor. If anyone is missing this cutie, he was hanging out at the Wilton Rose Garden. I shooed him up the road next to it. He was really sweet.

Thank you to our volunteers!! We planted 10 roses today for those of you who bought one.
If you're not aware, it's not an easy thing to do. We still have 9 that need to be planted for the missing and dead roses. We'll do another planting next month. In the meantime, we'll keep them watered.
The majority of the new roses were planted by the front to the right when you walk up. They have new plaques thanks to Codi and Nathan Craig at Eternal Iron. They look great!

HUGE shout out to Lowe's and Green Acres in Elk Grove!!! We have 19 roses donated to plant tomorrow.

We received all the bricks and are in the process of installing them. We replaced the original ones we had to take out because of the tree root and removal.
We should have the rest of the purchased bricks installed by next week.
The roses are looking beautiful too. They're all blooming and it smells wonderful!!
