🌹 SERVING IS WHO WE ARE.

As I reflect on our Backpack Drive, my heart is simply grateful.

Two churches, The Original Rose of Sharon Church Ministries and Word of Life Deliverance Christian Center, came together not for recognition, not for competition, but for community.

Together, we were blessed to distribute 178 backpacks to children preparing to return to school. 🎒

But this was about more than backpacks.

It was about families being welcomed.
Children laughing and enjoying themselves.
Community coming together.
Churches working together.
People experiencing the love of Christ through service.

To every family who trusted us enough to bring your children, thank you. It was truly our honor to serve you.

To our sponsors, donors, vendors, volunteers, church families, and everyone who helped make this possible, thank you for believing in the vision and putting your hands to the work.

As a pastor, one of my greatest joys is seeing the Church become what God called us to be, His hands and feet in the community.

We pray over every child represented by those 178 backpacks. May God protect them, give them focus, surround them with the right environment, bless their teachers and parents, and give them an incredible school year. 🙏🏾

And our doors don’t close when the community event ends.

People are already lining up, hot dogs are being grilled, Carolina Health is taking blood pressure checks, Taste of Texas is serving funnel cakes, book backs are still available, and Ripe for Revival still has a few vouchers for fresh produce available. Only thing missing is you‼️

Did i mention the kids are having a ball in the bouncy house 😁😁😁
