A wonderful evening of fellowship and fun was had by all when over 60 ladies gathered at Asbury Hall for the 'What's Your Hurry' event. The Women's Board planed and decorated and all the ladies brought a delightful delicious variety of salads and desserts. Gabby McHarg's inspiring message from Romans 12 left everyone feeling blessed and grateful for the opportunity to slow down and come for a night to abide in the Spirit of our God.

The You’ve Got a Friend theme of our annual May fellowship attracted over 70 women, who gathered for a night of fellowship,food, and music. Lynda Stewart shared her life story of God providing friends to comfort and provide all her needs. She was a blessing and a true inspiration for all of us. Paige Harper, Lynda’s daughter opened for her mom singing The Goodness of God. Blythe Evans,our contemporary worship leader accompanied. It was a lovely evening and we all closed the evening,singing along with Paige, You’ve Got a Friend.

The Active Faith Circle loved seeing some of our college-aged young adults home for the holidays as they enjoyed a brunch between worship services last Sunday!

The Joyful Hands Circle had a festive Christmas dinner with 22 members in attendance, enjoying good food, fellowship, and fun, including a dirty Santa gift exchange. Additionally, the circle decided to make a donation to support the Reggie Smith family. Reggie, a law enforcement officer with the Wilson Police Department, who worked with the PAL program, passed away due to Covid 2 years ago. The Joyful Hands ladies shared a little JoY to bring some happiness to Reggie’s wife Adrienne and his four children this Christmas.

Members of the Joyful Hands Circle gathered to assemble 20 cleaning buckets for the Wesley Shelter, our local Domestic/Sexual Violence Response agency. Nancy Sallenger, executive director of Wilson Crisis Center, will be our guest at Circle meeting Tuesday evening. We invite you to join us for fellowship and to learn about our community impact. Approximately 1,500 clients receive support annually, and our efforts enable these individuals to establish a fresh start in a secure environment.

Meet today's lunch servers. The Hope Circle’s Barbara, Ellen, Leta, Sandra, and Honeybun volunteered at The Soup Kitchen this morning. Their tireless efforts in serving our church and community are greatly appreciated.

Our FMW donated toys & games for Gracie’s Christmas project to help families in the Swananoa mountain area. Honeybunn & Debbie enjoyed the shopping spree. Praying for the many families and the relief workers!

FUMC members Bob and Ellen Bergland travelled to East Tennessee last week with a trailer full of flood buckets and emergency kits donated by the MERCI Center in Goldsboro, NC. The Hope Circle and other FUMC members donated $500 to purchase baby formula and diapers for families affected by recent flooding in their area.
The goods were delivered to First Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, TN. which is set up as a relief center and shelter for those hardest hit.
