Lifewatch - Taskforce of United Methodists on Abortion and Sexuality

Lifewatch - Taskforce of United Methodists on Abortion and Sexuality We are pro-life United Methodists! http://www.lifewatch.org/ We are proud members of the UMC hoping for and working toward a culture of life. Let's work together!

Known as "Lifewatch," we are the only advocacy group made specifically to educate the United Methodist Church on a consistent life ethic. "Out of obedience to Jesus Christ, the Taskforce of United Methodists on Abortion and Sexuality (TUMAS) will work to create in church and society esteem for human life at its most vulnerable, specifically for the unborn child and for the Woman who contemplates a

bortion. Therefore, TUMAS's first goal is to win the hearts and minds of United Methodists, to engage in abortion-prevention through theological, pastoral and social emphases that support human life. TUMAS has worked within the annual conferences and at General Conferences to educate United Methodists about the realities of abortion and to bring about change which both protects the life of the unborn child and honors the lifelong health and welfare of the woman facing an unintended pregnancy. As sanctity of life issues have expanded to include stem cell research, euthanasia, and abortion recovery, our efforts have also expanded into those areas." You can be part of the Lifewatch movement by joining, signing up for the newsletter, or making a donation by clicking on the website link below. There is much we can do in our churches, our Conferences and in our communities to help raise awareness in the United Methodist connection concerning care families, the unborn, and the vulnerable. May God be glorified!
