"Don't Get Tired Of Doing Good"

06/11/2026

I was thinking about how some people live to be over 100 years old and others have their lives taken so very young. We don’t know how long we will live, that’s up to God. But remember this, it isn’t the years that count but what you do with those years.

Sometimes heartaches, trials, and tragedies seem to take all of the meaning out of life. In our darkest moments, we may even wonder why God leaves us on this earth. But if our heavenly Father has chosen to give us life for another day, we can be sure that He has a purpose. We need to wait on Him, keep our eyes open to every opportunity, and trust Him daily for the grace to keep us going. Make every day count!

Do you have a hurtful past??

Each of us have been hurt at one time or another. We may tend to carry that pain, but believe it or not, you can move on from it.

I remember when I use to compete in running. One important part of racing is that you don’t want to look back. As every runner knows, when you look back, you slow down.

Forgetting doesn’t mean that you wipe out your memories. It means you make a decision not to let the past take away from the progress that you've made.

If you can move from this year to the next by choosing to be free from your past, you can focus on the future and what God has in mind.

So instead of being consumed with what has happened, you can depend on who Jesus is and what He’s done for you. There’s a better way. You can forget the things behind and trust God toward what is ahead.

I was thinking of my beautiful niece, Kelly, today and the many struggles that she had almost her entire life, mostly due to cancer. Until the day she went to be with Jesus, she never gave up. She always praised Him in her circumstances and the light of Jesus radiated from her. But she never gave up!!

It is so easy today to say, "I'm done," or "I can't do this anymore." But God says that we need to keep pressing on. Don't give up.

Look to Jesus to help you through. At the end of the journey, you will see the amazing place God has prepared for you. And it will be worth it all!!!

If you're living for Christ, it seems like your life should be easy. It is true that God blesses those who follow Him, but He never promised this life would be a field of daisies. As a matter of fact, He promised that in this life, we would unfortunately have many troubles.

He also promised to stay with you in the midst of your troubles. He promised to hold you up and give you strength. And He promised to give you wisdom when you ask.

Jesus, God's own Son, suffered horrible pain and persecution. When we go through hard things, we need to remember that Christ suffered as well. But just as He overcame sin and death, we will be overcomers too. Hang in there. It gets better.

What you do and the decisions you make will affect other people, whether good or bad. We make the decisions. If you're a parent, you will make choices that affect your children, and then your children will make choices that affect your grandchildren. This goes on and on... I have heard people say, "This is my life, and I make my choices." But it is bigger than that. Our choices on Earth are binding in eternity. I came very close to living eternity in Hell if I would have continued on the path I was on in my life. I was fooling nobody but myself.

God loves us so much, and His grace lets us come to Him, confessing our sins and making us whole. I want to be able to say to the Lord one day that I did the best I could with the life, time, and resources He gave me. I want the Lord to say to me, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord." Don't you want to hear that? You might be thinking, I've already made a bunch of mistakes. I've messed up a lot. It is never too late to change. Start making good decisions from now on. Do what you can to right the wrongs that you've committed over the years. And then from this day forward, determine to walk with God and start living the way He wants you to live.
