MUSIC for ALL SAINTS SUNDAY – Sunday, November 1

At the 10:00 am Service of Eucharist on Sunday, November 1, the Trinity Choir will be joined by the celestial sounds of harp, violin, clarinet and handbells for ALL SAINTS SUNDAY as they offer three anthems for this important day of remembrance: Mack Wilberg’s serene setting of the American revivalist song “Then We’ll Sing Hosanna”; Stephen Caracciolo's thought-provoking 2021 setting of "The Promised Land," which is an early American folk hymn in the shape-note tradition that first appeared in William Walkers’ Southern Harmony in 1835; and Joseph Martin’s tranquil setting of the traditional Latin "Pie Jesu Domine" text which concludes with the prayer of "Dona Eis Requiem Sempiternam (Give Them Rest Eternal)" Come remember and celebrate the lives of the saints who have gone before us and who are now resting from their labors.

Luncheon to follow service with presentation by OperaDelaware on Spanish Zarzuela and more fabulous dancing and AMAZING food!

The Arts at Trinity opened its 15th Anniversary Season on Sunday afternoon with The Oskar Stenmark Trio, w**e & cheese, and c***r & a variety of pumpkin flavored desserts! The large and enthusiastic audience loved the performance so much that they gave the artists a loud and rousing standing ovation and got a fabulous encore to top off an amazing afternoon of innovative, reflective and meditative jazz that paired perfectly with the cool, drizzly autumn afternoon. A perfect way to kick off the new concert season!
