MPAC - Mothers Praying for Adult Children

MPAC - Mothers Praying for Adult Children MPAC's goal is to help mothers understand they can't "fix" their children; only God can do this. We gather every 1st and 3rd Sundays.

MPAC is a support group helping mothers understand who the REAL enemy is. We teach mothers how to pray for their children and know their identity and authority in Christ. We have ongoing studies, conferences, and retreats. Mothers are welcomed to come and fellowship with us every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays at the Wilmington Healing Center located at 4609 Wrightsville Avenue. Childcare is currently

unavailable due to the topics discussed and privacy. This is a safe place for mothers only and the focus is to be geared towards mothers.

This is going to be an exciting time. As you can see, the conference is for ALL men and women not just moms. I would like to urge you ALL to come to this conference and ask your friends. You might say, “I don’t need to attend; I am Christian and I have accepted Jesus as my Savior.” That might be true but do you really know Him? Do you have a close walk and relationship with Him? Do you pray specifically? Do you pray with authority because of whose you are? If you answered “no” to any of these questions, I encourage you to attend this teaching conference.

Jason and Sara Tierney, missionaries from England, will be teaching. Kim Croom Smith will be giving her testimony. Because Kim knew who she was in Christ, she was able to stand firm on God’s word. Of course, Katie Furr will lead praise and worship. Mark your calendar today to attend this inspiring conference.

The conference is free and a love offering will be taken up. If you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]

Today is Mother's Day and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all mothers a Blessed and Happy Mother's Day. You are special because those bundles of joy that make you a mother are a gift from God, our Heavenly Father. I would like to encourage you to be the Godly Mother that God intends for you to be and come to our Spring Conference next Saturday, May 18th. I have included the flyer with all the information on it. There will be a light breakfast from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. There is no cost for this conference. I encourage you to bring all the high school and college girls with you so they can learn what it is to be a "Godly Passionate Woman". If questions and to register, contact me at [email protected]. Blessings to you on this beautiful weekend.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers of all ages. I pray today has been as wonderful for you as it has been for me. In fact, the whole weekend has been great. I was blessed to have a visit from both of my children though it was at different times. It is difficult to coordinate schedules sometimes.

Through my happy tears today, I am reminded of those moms who are shedding tears of sadness. Yes, not every mother has had the benefit of hugging their child/children today as I was able to do. There are those moms who have lost a child by overdose, murder, accident, SIDs, miscarriage or sickness. It doesn’t matter was caused the loss, their loss still hurts. It takes a long time to overcome their loss. There are those mothers who haven’t talked with their child in years because their child chose to walk away from the family to live the life they wanted with out restrictions or rules. We need to be mindful of our friends during this time. For every mom who shed happy tears, there was a mom who was shedding sad tears.

We cannot fix our children; but we know the one who can. Yes, only Jesus Christ can fix them. So, what is your job? Your job is to pray for Jesus Christ to reach them.

I must admit that sometimes I wonder if the efforts put forth through MPAC really make a difference in the lives of prodigals and their mothers. And, then, when I least expect it, God shows me. As late as yesterday, I received a message that began with these words ... "Ms. Carman, you do not know me but you know my mama". After reading those words, my spirit quickened as I wondered what words would come next. With nervous anticipation, I continued to read and I could not stop the tears as I read how one of our MPAC mothers had shared my story, my book and the ministry of MPAC with her prodigal and this prodigal contacted me to share how God had worked through our prayers and the MPAC ministry and how the decision was made to return home and live out God's plan and purpose. And then, I read these sweet words ... "thank you for praying for me". The tears continued to flow as I imagined the joy this mother and daddy were feeling. I thought about how we had encompassed this mother in prayer and the times of reading God's Word and offering encouragement. God tells us in His Word to pray without ceasing ... and we did. God's Word tells us to ask anything in His name believing and He will do it ... and we did. We serve a God who is the Lion of Judah ... who roars with power to fight our battles. How I praise Him for giving me the opportunity to witness VICTORY. So, is Jesus Christ worth the effort ... YES HE IS. Are the prodigals worth the effort ... YES THEY ARE. Are our MPAC mothers worth the effort ... BY ALL MEANS, YES!!!
