Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2021 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Brian Marks! Brian is graduating from both Hoggard High School and North Carolina School of Science and Math. During his time in high school, Brian was involved in the marching band and concert band. He became the low brass captain.

Brian is going to attend NC State University in the fall and will be studying science in the college of engineering. After college, he plans to find a job in his field, potentially at Epic Games in Cary, NC.

Brian's favorite verse is “Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2021 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Claire Terry! Claire is graduating from Ashley High School. During her time at Ashley, Claire was involved in the Beta Club, the Key Club, and was on the Ashley softball team.

Claire is going to attend NC State University in the fall as a Teaching Fellow and will be majoring in STEM education . Her goal is to become a teacher that creates a safe, open, and inclusive learning space for all students. Her desire as an educator is to be one that becomes a helping hand in her community, as well as in the lives of her students.

Claire's favorite verse is “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2021 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Jaden Esquivel! Jaden is graduating summa cm laude from Ashley High School. During her time at Ashley, she was a junior marshal, earned the social studies cord, was involved in National Honors Society and Beta Club.

Jaden is going to attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall and will be studying business with a major in marketing and a minor in PR or communications. Jaden's future plans are to work in the beauty or fashion industry.

Jaden's favorite verse is “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11‭

Cheyne is going to attend Cape Fear in the fall and will be studying Cosmetology.

Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2021 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Maeson Morgan! Maeson is graduating from Ashley High School. During her time at Ashley, Maeson was involved in National Honors Society and Beta Club.

Maeson is going to attend Liberty University in the fall and will be studying to be a child life specialist. Her goal is to help children and families as they navigate a child being diagnosed with an illness, injury, disability, trauma or hospitalization.

Maeson’s favorite verse is “Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
‭Maeson says she wants to always live a life of someone who loves everyone she meets because its the best way to spread the love of Jesus.

Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2020 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Joshua Ward! Joshua is graduating from Ashley High School. During his time at Ashley, he was a quarterback on the football team, participated in the choral department, and was a leader at his school's FCA program. In his time in chorus, he earned superior rankings at choral competitions and won 1st place at a regional competition his junior year. Joshua is a talented musician and has had many amazing opportunities to share his talents around Wilmington. He competed and won 1st place for his age division in "Wilmington's Got Talent.", sang at the Azalea Festival, and plays music at restaurants around town. He is a member of the praise team at Impact Church and helps leads worship at their weekly services. For the past two summers, he was on staff at Camp Impact as a camp counselor and worship leader for the kids.

In the fall, Joshua will be attending Liberty University. His desire is to pursue a degree in music and worship in hopes to become a full time worship leader after college. He will also be helping to lead worship there as a lead vocalist and guitarist on the E41 School of Music Worship Team.

Joshua's favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 which says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ‭ He says “God has been teaching me a lot about patience and how to wait on His timing. He has a plan for me and is in control of all things. He will work all things out for His glory and my good! This is something that I hope to continue to learn and understand more as I move out to go to school."

Oasis Student Ministry is so proud of all our 2020 high school graduates! Each day we will highlight one of these grads. Today’s graduate is Bill Moore! Bill is graduating from Hoggard High School. He is a phenomenal power lifter and placed 3rd at USA Powerlifting Nationals in 2019. Bill broke two NC State Records in Powerlifting. He is a driven young man with a desire to honor the Lord in all he does. He has worked a total of 6 different jobs since his sophomore year, and at one point he was working 3 jobs at once while in school. Bill also was the assistant director at Camp Impact and has also started leading one of our church life groups.

Bill is going to attend UNCW in the fall and was awarded a full tuition scholarship. His plan is to
attend UNCW for 2 years and then transfer to an online university to get his undergrad and complete seminary school. Bill’s desire is pursue a career in ministry, specifically theological/doctrinal teaching and apologetics.

Bills favorite verse is “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭Bill says “God has been teaching me to open my eyes wider, to see and listen more closely to hear for His calling and direction. For He can and has changed everything in a moment for me, for His glory and my good!”
