The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

It's been an amazing last few weeks at the Activity Center! We've hosted many wonderful events, including Potholder Making Classes (thanks Linda Gurganus), the Preschool Arts Night, the Alderman Spring Concert, Softball games, Mahjong classes and so much more!

Potholder Making Class

Interested in learning how to make a potholder? Ever wanted to try your hand at weaving on a small loom? Join us on Sunday, April 28, from 3-4:45 PM for a Potholder Making Class at the Activity Center led by our very own Linda Gurganus.

Looms will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own to allow for more participants!

There is a class fee of $3 for all participants, plus a $5 cost per potholder for cotton loop supplies. If an individual wants to bring their own cotton loops then just the class fee is required. Refreshments will be provided!

Beautiful day to cheer on UNCW Seahawks Baseball and serve a meal to the team after the game! We love our community!

There is still time to sign up for one of our FBC Softball Teams and we hope all players join us for the FBC Team kickoff at the batting cages this Sunday!
