The Sixth Station of the Way of the Cross is "A Woman Wipes the Face of Jesus" (Book of Occasional Services, p. 64). Tradition identifies this nameless woman as Saint Veronica, and according to pious legend, the cloth she used came away with an image of the face of Jesus.
