On Sunday, May 17th, the congregation of First & Central looked back on the first days of our labyrinth program and how volunteers created the very labyrinth that we walk today. Join us on Thursday, May 21, for our monthly walk and see how well our labyrinth has aged. We'll be open from 12 Noon to 4 p.m.

We leave our shoes at a chair and take a moment to settle in. When we feel ready, we
go to the entrance and, one mindful step at a time, we walk. We pause in the center (or not) and then retrace our steps back to the entrance. Whether we came to pray a specific intention, to calm our busy mind, or just to have a few moments of peace, we leave refreshed.
Our next labyrinth walk is tomorrow, Thursday, April 16 th, Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Breathe in, breathe out. Enjoy the beauty of spring in the warm air that surrounds you. The next labyrinth walk is this Thursday, April 16, from Noon to 4 p.m. You may breathe in and breathe out while walking the holy path.

“All that is really required in walking the labyrinth is to show up, place one foot in front of the other, and breathe.”
This Thursday, March 19th, is the next Labyrinth walk. Show up, walk, and breathe. 12 Noon to 4 p.m.

Our first walk of the new year is this Thursday, January 15th from Noon to 4 p.m.
2026 marks 30 years since our Labyrinth Program began, and 29 years that we’ve been walking the canvas labyrinth created by the original Labyrinth Committee and walkers.
Please check our page on Thursday for any updates or early closures due to Code Purple alerts.

A Reminder of Winter Weather Policies: “Code Purple” and Cancellation/Early Closure

1) Code Purple: First & Central is a place that shelters unhoused persons overnight when the temperature sinks below a certain level and “Code Purple” is determined. If that is necessary on the day of our Labyrinth Walk, we will close promptly at 4:00 p.m., counter to our usual ability to allow a little extra time for walkers to complete their walks.

2) In case of cancellation or early closure, we will do our best to get the word out as soon as we can via email if we have your address, via our page, https://www.facebook.com/thelabyrinthatfirstandcentral or you may call our church office at (302) 654-5371

Our mission is to make the labyrinth available to all who are interested in learning from it.

12/18/2025

Our last walk of the year is today from Noon to 4 p.m. Yes, we know you're busy. We also know that a time of peace and rest for body and soul is important. Join us.

12/17/2025

A reminder that we are open tomorrow from Noon to 4 p.m. While you walk, take time to breathe. Each inhalation brings vitality and clarity into your body. Each exhalation removes stress and heaviness. This is why we walk the labyrinth.
