The theme that attracts the heart of the sinner is Christ, and Him crucified. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus stands revealed to the world in unparalleled love. "A Fitness for Heaven"
Christ is coming with power and great glory. While the wicked flee from His presence, Christ’s followers will rejoice.... To His faithful followers Christ has been a daily companion and familiar friend. They have lived in close contact, in constant communion with God. Upon them the glory of the Lord has risen.... Now they rejoice in the undimmed rays of the brightness and glory of the King in His majesty. They are prepared for the communion of heaven; for they have heaven in their hearts. (COL 420,421)

The church is God’s appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world. From the beginning it has been God’s plan that through His church shall be reflected to the world His fullness and His sufficiency. The members of the church, those whom He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light, are to show forth His glory. The church is the repository of the riches of the grace of Christ; and through the church will eventually be made manifest, even to “the principalities and powers in heavenly places,” the final and full display of the love of God (AA, 10).

BEING THE FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST
Take time today to read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and consider what never-failing love means in your relationships: "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends."

This loving Spirit within you comes from Jesus, from spending time with him, resting in his love for you, and hearing his words of assurance and instruction in the Bible. This is the aroma your neighbors and the people you work with will notice about you. It’s what will attract them to you, encourage them to trust you, and make them want to spend time with you.
