Apple Butter is coming this Saturday, October 12! Come to Boehm's UMC for their Fall Fest from 9:00 am-2:00 pm for food, baked goods (including Colemanville UMC mince pies), and games. Apple butter will be available at 9:00, and a batch will be cooking in the kettles that morning. See the old-fashioned way of making it in cooper kettles over wood fires.

The Chapel Society will have the Tying Shed and Chapel open for tours. Hope you can come and join in the fun!

The Boehm’s Chapel Society will hold its annual Heritage Sunday event on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in the historic Boehm’s Chapel.
A worship service will start at 4 p.m. A Society business meeting will be held at 3 p.m.

The event is one in which many Boehm descendants return to the Chapel, which has stood since 1791.

Dale Mylin, a Society board member and a member of Byerland Mennonite Church where Martin Boehm was the pastor and bishop, will bring a message titled: “Keeping your hand to the plow: On being an influencer.” Music will be provided by Oksana Reedy, music director at Boehm’s UMC, and Tammy Over. Oksana will play the keyboard and sing. Tammy is a violinist. The choir of First United Methodist Church of Lancaster will perform the anthem,

Following the worship service, Jeff and Sue Frey who own the nearby Boehm family homestead, will offer a hayride to the farm. Don’t miss this special opportunity to see the Chapel from a new perspective!

Join us for the Boehm's Chapel Society's annual Heritage Sunday on June 25, 2023 in the 1791 landmark chapel. Dale Mylin, a Society board member and member of Byerland Mennonite Church, will be the featured speaker. Martin Boehm and his family attended Byerland and here is where he became a pastor and later, bishop of three area churches before his excommunication in 1777. Martin was posthumously reinstated as "bishop emeritus" in 2016 by Mennonite bishops.

The event opens with a business meeting at 3 p.m. followed by a worship service and the recognition of Boehm descendants at 4 p.m. After the business meeting a hayride will take people to the nearby Boehm homestead for a different view of the chapel.
