Refuge Church

Refuge Church Come Home. Find Hope. We Believe...

We believe the Bible, God's Word, is the absolute truth and the final authority for every aspect of life.

We believe Jesus, through His death and resurrection, provides our only hope for salvation. We believe lost people matter to God and we will strive to introduce them to Him in our neighborhoods, our community and the world. We believe the development of Christ-centered, loving relationships among followers of Jesus creates a community within which we grow, serve, support and challenge one another.

We believe prayer is a vital connection to God and everything we attempt to do must be birthed and bathed in prayer. We believe God alone is worthy of worship and we were created to worship Him. We believe consistent personal and corporate Bible study and the teaching of Biblical principles are essential. We believe followers of Christ have each been given one or more spiritual gifts to discover and use as intended by God. We believe followers of Christ are to be faithful stewards of their time, resources and abilities.

“We are Easter people, and Alleluia is our song.”

These words of St. Augustine are our story as well.

When the power of the resurrected Christ begins to work in our lives, everything changes.

We can hope again! Happy Easter!

Jesus has thrown the doors open.

All that is left is for you to walk out—trusting him—that what he has done is enough.

Thank you for joining us.

Maybe Easter feels like it belongs to someone else.

Old memories. Old habits. Old reasons not to go.

But here’s what we believe: the resurrection of Jesus changes everything — it’s for anyone. It’s for you.

Come and see.

Jesus draws near to us.

We are often tempted to not believe this. We may believe it for others, but struggle to believe it for ourselves.

The road from today’s “Hosanna” to next week’s “Hallelujah” runs through the cross, and it is there we will look.

Join us as we celebrate that we are an Easter people, and the resurrection that changes everything.

The same Jesus who calls us to live a holy life is the same one who empowers us to do so.

Let us then, with confidence, draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

When the path ahead is unclear, we cling to this truth: our God is already in tomorrow, and tomorrow is clear to him.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross, and now reigns at God's right hand.

While governments, relationships, and health may falter, Christ's kingdom stands forever.

When we are tempted to despair, we remember that we are receiving an unshakable kingdom.

So we run—spurring one another on—and clinging to Jesus, who is better than all else.

Join us at the Willmar Conference Center this Sunday at 9:30am, as we celebrate the One who is faithful.

Annual Business Meeting to follow.

Faith doesn’t promise easy outcomes—it is a trust in someone who is better.

Hebrews 11 tells of those who “…died in faith…having acknowledged they were sojourners on earth…who desire a better country; that is, a heavenly one.”

Jesus is better. Because of him, we are receiving that better country: a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Join us at 9:30 this Sunday, at the Willmar Conference Center, as we look to the one who speaks a better word. Annual Business Meeting to follow.
