This week, as we continued our Freedom series, we dove into the story of Genesis and uncovered how the patterns we see in the garden still show up in our lives today.

The most dangerous lie shame tells is that hiding will keep you safe. We start with the Genesis garden, not as a children’s story, but as a blueprint for what still happens in real life: a simple question becomes a slow drift, our own “what makes sense to me” replaces God’s Word as final authority, and suddenly we’re covering up and pulling away from the very God who’s looking for us.

The gap between the life you want and the life you’re living often comes down to one decision: will you follow what makes sense to you, or will you follow Jesus even when it doesn’t?
Pastor Jason opened up our new Freedom Series by putting words to a struggle a lot of us feel but rarely admit. Jesus promises “life to the full” (John 10:10), yet many of us keep defaulting to a self-made life built on limited perspective, old habits, and the stories we tell ourselves about control.

This Sunday, we’re singing a new song: “Give Me Jesus” by UPPERROOM.

At the heart of this song is a simple prayer: Jesus, You are enough.

More than what we can accomplish, more than the things competing for our attention. We want Jesus.

Come ready to worship, make room for His presence, and turn our hearts back toward the One who matters most.

Prayer is powerful- Let’s take time to pray this prayer over our students as they return to school! 🙏

This week, our guest speaker and friend, Pastor Gabe George, challenged us to take a closer look at the distance we sometimes keep between ourselves and God.

You can believe in God and still keep Him at arm’s length. That distance feels safe, but it locks you into a life you have to manage alone, with all the anxiety and exhaustion that comes with it. God doesn’t want to be your landlord, showing up only when something breaks. He wants to be your Father, with real relationship and real access to every corner of your life.

On Sunday, we talked about something we all do when life feels uncertain: we start counting.

We count the money, the time, the options, the wins, the losses, and all the possible “what ifs.” But instead of letting uncertainty make us count everything that could go wrong, we can choose to recount what God has already done.

When we remember His faithfulness, His provision, His goodness, and the ways He has carried us before, we’re reminded that the God who was faithful then will be faithful again.

We don’t have to have every answer or know what’s ahead. We can look back, remember what God has done, and move forward with confidence that He is with us.
