The most valuable things on earth are often the things that are scarce. Human nature tends to assign greater worth to what is limited, rare, or nearly lost. As the old saying goes, “You never miss the water until the well runs dry.” Too often, we wait for absence before we recognize value. But that mindset is rooted in lack. It is the posture of a heart that measures worth only when something becomes scarce.
A life of gratitude chooses a different lens. It gives value before loss. It celebrates health while the body is strong. It honors sight while the eyes can see. It embraces joy while the days are still bright. Gratitude does not wait for depletion to awaken appreciation.
True abundance is not about how much we have it is about how deeply we appreciate what we already hold. A poverty mindset assigns value only in scarcity. A grateful mindset recognizes that the ordinary blessings we overlook each day are, in fact, priceless. ~Pastor Jonathan Reed

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” 2 Corinthians 5:1

The earthly tabernacle of our beloved Mother Willie Mae Jenkins transitioned on January 6, 2026. Mother Jenkins was a member of RCOGBF, and her life, service, and legacy have made a lasting impact on our ministry and the community at large.

The Wake Service will be held at RCOGBF on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Homegoing Celebration will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

We ask that you continue to keep the Jenkins family lifted in prayer, asking God to grant them comfort, strength, and peace during this time.
