🌮 Wednesday Night with Chosen Youth! 🌮
Last night was such a special time with our youth! ❤️ We enjoyed a fun Taco Night together, but more importantly, we spent time learning about prayer and what it truly means to have a relationship with God.
A huge thank you to Ashley for bringing our group lesson! She talked with the youth about the meaning of prayer and walked us through The Lord’s Prayer, reminding us that prayer is more than just words it’s how we communicate with and draw closer to God. 🙏 And of course, we had to tie our lesson into our taco theme! 🌮 We learned that TACO can remind us how to pray:
🌮 T — Thankfulness
🌮 A — Adoration
🌮 C — Confession
🌮 O — Others
And we can always remember to bring ourselves before God too our needs, our worries, and our hearts.

We are thankful for each one of these young people and their willingness to commit themselves to coming to church, learning about Jesus, and growing in their faith. It is such a blessing to watch them learn, ask questions, pray, laugh, and grow together.
Please continue to pray for our Chosen Youth as we seek to lead them closer to Jesus❤️🙏🏻

Sometimes we spend so much of our lives trying to “get it right” by our own strength. We try to live up to every standard, follow every teaching, and be good enough but eventually we realize that we never could be good enough on our own. Sunday evening, Kelvin Keith shared his testimony about that very realization. He talked about how, for so long, he felt like he couldn’t live up to the standards he believed he was supposed to meet. No matter how hard he tried, his own works and self-righteousness could never change his heart.

Then he realized something that changed everything: Jesus was all he needed. ❤️
It wasn’t his own goodness that changed his life. It wasn’t his works, his efforts, or trying harder. It was Jesus. Because the truth is, none of us are good enough on our own. We don’t earn grace we receive it. We don’t save ourselves Jesus saves us. What a powerful reminder that when we finally stop trying to do it all in our own strength and surrender it to Him, Jesus can do what we never could.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8 🙏
Thankful for testimonies that remind us that Jesus changes lives. ❤️
