UU. en Pensilvania, así como en la semana siguiente festivo "Juneteenth".

Despensa de alimentos: Debido a la reducción de personal, las donaciones de alimentos (cortesía del programa de rescate de alimentos de CT Foodshare) se realizarán en nuestro vestíbulo, ya que están disponibles, de martes a viernes. No habrá disponibilidad de despensa con servicio completo durante las próximas dos semanas, aunque habrá una cantidad limitada de bolsas de asistencia de emergencia "TEFAP" disponibles, también de martes a viernes. Gracias por entender esta adaptación necesaria debido al personal limitado disponible.

The Salvation Army Willimantic CT, 316 Pleasant St., will be adjusting our schedule slightly to accommodate staff availability during this weekend Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory Congress in Pennsylvania, as well as the following week "Juneteenth" holiday.

Food Pantry: Due to reduced staff, food donations (courtesy of CT Foodshare "food rescue" program) will be in our lobby area as they are available, Tuesday to Friday. There will not be full-service pantry availability during the next two weeks, however there will be a limited quantity of emergency "TEFAP" assistance bags available, also Tuesday to Friday. Thank you for understanding this accommodation made necessary by the limited staff on-hand.

Sunday Worship Service, June 14: The Salvation Army Willimantic CT will be CLOSED on this Sunday. Sunday Services (as well as entire weekend events) from SA USA Eastern Territory Congress in Hershey PA, can be viewed on www.SAConnects.org, or its' associated YouTube or Facebook links.......or.......travel down Rt. 6 to Manchester Citadel (CT) Salvation Army, at 9:45am, to join with their morning Worship (also viewed on Facebook or YouTube).

In just a few weeks, campers will be heading to Camp CONNRI for a summer filled with new friendships, outdoor adventures, faith-building moments, and memories they’ll carry with them long after camp ends.

National Donut Day 2026 was a tremendous success across Connecticut & Rhode Island! Salvation Army officers, staff, and volunteers spent the day delivering donuts and words of appreciation to veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, community partners, and community members throughout the state.

Every stop was an opportunity to share the story of the Donut Lassies and continue a tradition that began more than 100 years ago on the front lines of World War I.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate, serve, and spread a little joy along the way. We loved seeing the smiles, hearing the stories, and honoring those who serve our communities every day.

Thank you again to Lyman Orchards!

This (Sunday AM from Manchester Citadel) was a very fitting supplement to the SA Willimantic preaching series, "Keep the main thing, The MAIN Thing" (Matt 6: 22-23), from "The Sermon on the Mount". Enjoy this teaching from Genesis 12, then filter it through Matthew 7: 28-29 and James 1:22-25. Maybe the "Main Thing" is the evidenced by "the Brushstrokes".

Sunday, June 7th: A visit by some of the summer staff from The Salvation Army Camp CONNRI. "The place you really wanna be. Hip, hip, hooray, hoorah, hooree!"(*)
With Captain Shareena Echavarria & Captain Emmanuel Echavarria (SA Willi Pastors), Captain Allison Bethel & Ms. Serenity Trinidad (Camp CONNRI directors), CONNRI staff members, SA Willi Corps adults and youth.
It was a joy to meet, share Worship, fellowship and lunch with new friends.

If you are near Windham on Sunday (June 14); Manchester Citadel (CT) Salvation Army (661 Main St., Manchester) is hosting the annual festival of the strawberry.
The unique seed transfer method of the strawberry is a wonderful analogy to life - spirit formation......and they taste good!
